do you know what's great about this monday? the weather is cooling down!! i'm so tired of the hotness.... if i wanted this weather, i'd move to a sunnier state. i'm very excited for the cooling we have expected this week.
h and i had our anniv on friday..we went out to dinner and that was about it.nothing too fancy.
saturday i had breakfast with a friend, followed by a wedding. it was actually a lot more fun than i expected. the bride is a friend i first met in kindergarten...and we've definitely lost touch throughout the years, but she's the type of person to hang onto every-single-friendship-she's-ever-had.....so it was a mini-highschool reunion with the 300+ people that attended.
yesterday we went oyster picking on hood canal...which was a lot of fun. we bought groupons a long time ago, and they're nearing expiration/nearing end of the summer, so we decided to cash them in. i'm nearly dying because i'm not allowed to have them raw while pregnant. since i'm huge on oysters, h and i had bought multiple groupons, and we had 21 dozen to take home......everything in moderation, right? i had one. baby now will have 4 arms. but it was worth it.
have a great week everyone!
Re: good monday morning!
Good morning!
Had a great weekend! Had a fabulous brunch out on Saturday morning, then spent the rest of the day getting things done. We got our car seat inspected at Evergreen (we passed with flying colors, BTW!), I got some car parts that I needed, and we did a bit of grocery shopping. Then we went home and relaxed.
I'm at home today. Yesterday, DH and I DTD in the morning hoping to induce labor. Well, it kind of worked. We went to Bellevue Square with the intention that we would go see Contagion in Imax, and while we were walking around, I started having contractions that were between 5-10 minutes apart. We both got excited, and decided to skip the movie in case anything happened. Well... the more we walked, the more they came, and then when I would sit down or get distracted, they would stop. SO frustrating! I was really, really hoping to be in labor yesterday and having the baby by this morning. That would have been ideal. Well, I guess baby had other ideas, because she's still safely tucked away. Stinker.
Send labor thoughts my way, please, ladies!
Hope everyone has a great week and enjoys the cooler weather (which I'm SO ready for!).
Also, Jenn, don't fret over one oyster. I was the one who told you to rebel and have that sip of champagne, remember?
I was a bad girl and had a coldcut sandwich the other week. DH looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears, but I just smiled like the cat who ate the canary. It was SO good.

I'm running really slow today. I've had a massive headache since yesterday that I just can't seem to shake.
We spent the weekend in Portland, just hanging out and running the warrior dash. It was 95 all weekend in Portland, but most of the run was in the shade, so it ended up being a lot of fun. I'm really glad that I did it.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Picks- labor dust coming your way!
Morning!
I'm really not sure where this weekend went. I know I spent a lot of time at the Locks and drank a bunch of wine because my house was too hot.
I'm excited for tonight - garlic fries at a Mariners game!
I was almost going to text you yesterday to say be on alert - and then it all stopped. Stupid prodromal labor.
Haha, we also got his mom into hysterics telling them to be on alert. It was pretty funny.
We'll see how today and tomorrow goes!

Good Morning ladies!
I'm here... hopefully I start feeling better soon, because let me tell you this morning sickness is getting really old. All day everyday even though I'm on medication makes it no fun!
As for exciting news, we finished telling all our immediate family by the end of last week. So on Sunday we told a few friends at church. It's so fun to be able to let other's in on the fun! Now at least I don't have to come up with excuses why I'm not feeling great anymore either though!

I can't believe the weekend is over already!
Saturday, I babysat a little 1 year old. I'm watching her now on Thursdays and Fridays each week while Tman is in school, but her mom needed care for her just this one Saturday, too. If I'm being honest, it was tough to have her and Tman. I tried to be super mom still as kind of proof to myself that I can do it with 2 kids. I took them both grocery shopping, cleaned the house (I mean kept it picked up, not actual cleaning), did laundry, baked turkey meat balls early in the day so they'd be ready for our spaghetti for dinner, and even made cupcakes from scratch. I was SO exhausted by the time I returned her to her parents.
Yesterday, we went to the morning service at church where they had a 9/11 memorial video and I got emotional - again. 9/11 seems to affect me more as time goes on. Like the older I get, the more I "get it." We ran to Walmart for a couple things, came home and rested, then went back to church from 6-8:30.
My husband and I are in a big disagreement that could end up being really heartbreaking. I don't really feel comfortable getting into it here, but I really wish I had someone I could talk to about it. I don't have anyone that wouldn't totally judge my husband, and I don't want my friends/family to not like him. It's stressing me out really bad.
Tman is in school today and I feel like our routine is starting to get back in order. That's something positive for sure!

I went to a wedding on Saturday, and it was really fun, but I ended up with a headache for a good chunk of Sunday because of too many
. But there was tons and tons of football to watch while I withered in pain on the couch

Hello Monday Nesties. I spent the weekend mostly on the dreaded task. Friday I had to go to a meeting for work down in Tukwila and was given the go-ahead to take the rest of the day off but since that only took half an hour, I was done by 3! I went to Joann's to look at fabrics for H's lederhosen. My cousin came over to chit-chat while I worked on boxing up all the book shelves.
Saturday was spent mostly boxing up crap while poor H worked 14 hours OT for work! Sunday we went and got a van from H's work (yay for that! Easy, no RSVP needed, and we pay them $20/day) and loaded that with all the packed boxes and brought it to the house. Also showed the ILs around the place. When we got home, I escaped to my cousin's house to make dinner and watch a stupid Rom-Com and relax away from the chaos that is our apartment right now. My body is really sore this morning and NOT looking forward to packing up the rest of the apt this week and the BIG move on Saturday.
BabyAustin: I'm sorry, I hope everything works out for you. I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to tell your friends because they may judge.
Friday and Saturday I worked, worked, worked!!!
Sunday we layed around mostly, so I could enjoy the one day weekend I had with H. We were gonna do the Puyallup Fair, but I just didn't feel up to it.
Today, I think I am finally going to get the ball rolling on changing my name. I actually mailed in a request to have copies of the marriage license mailed to us, but it's been two weeks and they haven't sent it. So I called and they said they are about two more weeks out, but I want to get it over and done with before I go back to school. So I think today I will go up to Seattle and get a copy after all. Annoying!
advice-- i was told to get 3 copies of the cert. one for SS, one for DOL, and one for yourself/just in case. i got 4....just in case. the SS and the DOL didn't want it..and if they try to take it you can ask for it back. it only saves you a few bucks, but if you don't want that many, you don't need that many copies.

Good morning! Weekend was pretty good, not much happened. Watched my Cowboys last night, what an embarrassing second half! Ugh...they make me sad.
I found out Thursday that I have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. I'm not sure what that means for me treatment wise. I hope I don't have to start taking meds. Did that before, sucks. I will find out Thursday though. Till then my doctor said I shouldn't drive, blah.
Have a good day!

Thanks for the advice!!! I ordered two when I mailed it in...But I was just going to buy one today. Glad that should work out for me!

Good Morning!
This weekend was exhausted and I'm happy to start another week fresh! Friday I ran errands, decorated my house, baked, and got to bed wayyy too late. Saturday I woke up early to finish baking/frosting cupcakes and get ready for the baby shower! The shower was a hit but I'm soo exhausted to be done with it. It was kinda ridic too... all that time I spent on decor and when the party was over, they took all the decor with them. I've never seen anything like this. No one wanted the leftover food.. only the decorations and cupcakes. I threw away atleast 30 cupcakes (so that H & I didn't eat them!) It was sad! But I also got a paying customer to buy my cupcakes! SQUEE!
Work is super busy and I need to get ahead of the game because my vacay is coming up quick! SOO excited!
um. why didn't you call the pregnant girls?

They didn't want the food? Wasteful people! You should have at least brought the cupcakes to work to make your coworkers eat up.
What flavors did you end up making? Pictures?!
Sounds like everyone had a pretty busy weekend. I did too! Saturday we went to the Husky game (woop woop!) - had a blast, but it was so hot out that I was all gross and sticky by the time the game was over. I jumped in the shower as soon as we got home then decided to do dinner and shopping with a friend. We closed down Nordstrom, but I didn't do too much dammage.
Yesterday I was lazy all morning then decided to pick a bunch of apples from our apple tree in the back yard. What I didn't realize was how much time it takes to prep apples for use. I spent the next 6 hours peeling and slicing apples. I now have enough apples prepped for 5 pies and I still have a ton of apples I haven't cut up yet. Anyways, my hands are a little sore because of it.
Tonight MIL is taking us to dinner. I hope she doesn't stay at our house long though because I didn't do any cleaning this weekend and it is a pit!
Anyways, happy monday ladies!
