  • a girl I am friends w is having troubles with her baby sleeping(cause Bre had trouble sleeping the first month) so I sent her a msg asking how she was feeling and trying to see if maybe I could help her and all she did was give me rude one word answers ugh! im done trying to be nice....lol
  • Yeah I think that is rude too. I mean she may just be plain rude but she also may be so inundated with "advice" from others that she's frustrated on top of being tired since her baby won't sleep. As someone who is hitting month 9, I am so full of unwanted advice from strangers I almost snap some days and I'm not even overtired yet! Just trying to see the flip side of the possible situation....I hope she eventually apologizes and thanks you for your advice!!

  • it's always a touchy thing when giving another mother advice. Especially when they are sleep deprived. Don't take it to heart. Sometimes all they want/need is just someone to vent to. Remember not all babies are the same so they all respond and do things differently. Just let her know you are there for her.

    * she might also just be overwhelmed whether its all the advice or from lack of sleep, getting to know her baby and whatever else is thrown at her.

  • that stinks...she might be tired and exhausted and overly-bombarded with advice which obviously would make anyone cranky....but that's no excuse to be rude. a text thanking you for seeing how she was and for the advice would be the polite thing to do, regardless of how cranky and tired she may be....i mean, i'm tired and cranky and still have 8 weeks to go, but i still manage to find my manners even when the story or advice isn't really what i feel like hearing...
