H and I have over 300 cd's. Most of them are ones that we bought before iTunes came along, but we do have a few newer ones that we've bought. Anyway... we had a yardsale this weekend and decided to put our cd's out to see if anyone wanted to buy some. A guy came by and said that he'd take them all for 1.50 each. Which comes up to about $500 that he'd give us for all of them. He said that he sales them online. The $500 is a nice chunck of change back on them, but it makes me sad to know that it's really 1.50 each and we spent at least $10-$15 on most of them. I guess the music just makes me nostalgic.... lol
So WWYD? Sell them? Has anyone tried to sale old CD's online? We told him we wanted to make sure we have all of them stored on the computer before we let them go.
Re: What did you do with your old cd's?
I have all of mine in a black cd holder/book type thing. I kept the discs and the liner notes, but tossed the jewel cases. This way they aren't taking up too much space. The ones that are box sets I've kept intact (lots of operas and "complete symphonies of....." ) I'll probably always keep them just in case something happens to my hard drive and I lose all the stuff on the computer. I also like reading the liner notes once in a while as well.
ETA: Because I have a lot of cds, I have 3 black caselogic holders/books.
