HELP - Maternity Dress for Weddings
I know people have posted about this before, but I have four weddings coming where I will be between 30 and 39 weeks and I desperately need a dress (the first one is 9/24 so its rapidly approaching). Ideally, I would love to find 1 dress for all 4 weddings as it will be totally different groups of people at each wedding. One note, the wedding that is a few days before my due date it "black tie optional" so I'm hoping to find something a little dresser or a black dress I can accessorize. TIA!!!
Re: HELP - Maternity Dress for Weddings
did you really rsvp yes to a wedding that is a couple days before your due date? last place i would have wanted to be.
fwiw i wore regular dresses that were a size large and in flowy fabrics.
I did this as well. I found the Merona brand at Target to have the most options.
i bought one cute lbd from pea in the pod that i wore to all of the cocktail parties and weddings i had while pregnant. it was kind of expensive (around $100) but i figured for at least 2 weddings, 3 fundraising events, and 2 nights out on the town, it was well worth it. i wouldn't expect a non-maternity dress to give me much more.
i would check at motherhood, pea in the pod, and macy's maternity. sometimes the macy's sale rack has the stuff that is still full price at pea in the pod.
good luck and have fun! my plan was to dance my baby out at a friends wedding- but he decided to come super early and her wedding was my first night out with out the little man.
The wedding that is right before my due date (wedding is black friday, I'm due 11/30) I'm planning to RSVP to as yes with an asterick. Our friends know we may be iffy, but it's only right in Philly, so I figure I can get back to Paoli Hospital pretty fast. I'm kind of thinking I will savor any and all distractions at that point. Plus as PP said, maybe I can dance the baby out
Thanks for the suggestions. I am hoping maybe while I'm back in NJ this weekend I can check out Destination Maternity in Cherry Hill since they have MM and Pea in the Pod. I looked at Macy's in KOP this weekend with no luck.
I would seriously check out Kohls, JC Penny and Sears dresses section as well. I found a simple black, non fitted dress in the regular section on super sale (+ coupon) for 13 dollars at JCP. I wore at 18 weeks and it would still fit now (at 32). Just check bigger sizes.
What size are you? I have a maternity dress that I wore to weddings this summer, that I am looking to sell. It's cocktail length and has a shrug to wear with it.
Here is the best picture I could find of it off the top of my head, but if you are interested, I can send more (I would be the preggo chick in the middle

ASOS has a maternity section, and I got a really cute dress I wore to a wedding from there.

It fits really well and is very flattering, and can be dressed up. It's a little expensive, but for four weddings... maybe not so bad.
