Did you go on any excursion off the resort that you absolutely loved? Do tell.
Also, we have a $300 credit with the resort and we are trying to figure out what to spend it on. Did any of you do the couples massage with private dinner? Did you love it? How about the fish market feast? It's tough making these decisions. ;-)

Re: Karisma Resort Gals
We did a couples massage, I don't know if there are different options, but it was a lesson too, so T let me lay there the whole time while he learned. Although he has never used what he learned again, haha!
We did a zip-lining/swim in the cenotes excursion, it was nothing to write home about. If I were to do it again, I would have done xel-ha or xcaret.

No massages, but since it was our honeymoon we had dinner on the beach, which was awesome.
We did an excursion where we toured the ruins Mayan ruins (including climbing to the tallest Mayan pyramid, then zip-lined, rappelled, canoed, hiked, and got an awesome native meal. It was fabulous-especially the rappelling. We rappelled into a sink hole underground and it was amazing. It was through http://www.alltournative.com/ and we loved it.
We did the zip-lining/rapelling/cenotes one, too. It was cool, but like Colleen said, nothing to write home about.
We also went to Xel-Ha and loved it! It was a great way to spend a day away from the resort.
I would definitely recommend the deep sea fishing. It was our favorite thing we did!
We've visited the Tulum ruins. Very neat, VERY HOT.
On another trip to Riviera Maya, we did an excursion to Cozumel that we absolutely loved! We went snorkeling in the morning at Chankanaab and then took a tour around the island. We visited an alligator park along the way. It was really interesting to see the hurricane devastation that still exists years after that big hurricane tore through. Then we had a late lunch on the beach.
So between the deep sea fishing and the Cozumel trip, those have been my two favorite excursions. Followed closely by Xel-Ha.
On property, we didn't end up doing the special dinner or massages. I think they missed the memo that we were on our honeymoon, lol. I would have killed for a massage on the beach, though. Dinner on the beach I think would be nice, but sometimes the breeze is a little bit chilly in the evening.
