We are headed there next month for our anniversary and I have no idea where to start! We'll be there for 3 nights and plan on eating our way through the city. Suggestions on where to go and things to do?
Re: Vegas recs please!!
Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio, request a table by the windows to watch the fountains. Order the Ribbons of Tuna appetizer, you will not be disappointed. The service there is amazing.
Sign up for emails from Charlie Palmer Steak, it is on the end of the strip in the Four Seasons~Mandalay Bay, but they have an amazing "Cut of the Week," a three course meal with unlimited wine pairings for $48. The steak is amazing.
For a more laid back but still club atmosphere, I really like Ghost Bar, great views and an older crowd.
So Tasty, So Yummy
Perfect! Prime Steakhouse was on our short list so I am glad that is getting a positive review. Thanks for the suggestions!
I went three years ago. and took PAGAS' prime rec. and also had a table close to the windows so we could see the watershow. It was amazing, and the steak was incredible! have fun ! i'm so looking forward to going again next year!
All of this
.
Where are you staying?
my favorite places to eat in vegas are Mesa (brunch is divine, dinner is fantastic... it's in caesar's palace) and Craftsteak (MGM grand).
i am not a huge buffet fan. one of the only buffet i ate at was the Wynn (because i won a free buffet for 2), and i was wholly underimpressed. the steamed crab legs were FROZEN. like, they served them and i bit into frozen crab, it was nasty.

Gross. I am not a buffet fan at all. Call me snobby, but it just does not impress me. For breakfast it is fine. Some in Disney are good. Otherwise, nope. Can't make me go to one.
I'll check out the others though! Thanks!
Strip Burger for lunch.
I'm kinda dorky and really enjoyed the Titanic Exhibit
We are dorks, too, and want to go check it out.
DH has also lost his freaking mind and wants to jump off the side of the Strastosphere. I told him to have fun with that and I would take his picture.
The buffet in the Mirage wasn't bad at all. (my DH is a huge fan of buffet's so he insisted we go to at least one lol)
Stack in the Mirage was really good.
Switch in Encore was awesome and it's really neat to see all of the decor "switch" every 30 minutes or so. We had a large loud party there and they were very accommodating and made our night a lot of fun. The food was fantastic!
Rock Bar at Planet Hollywood was really good as well. I had a fried egg sandwich and it was AWESOME.
LOVE was really good. I'm not even a Beatles fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed the show.
BLT Burger in the Mirage is also a great place for a quick bite that isn't too pricy.
ETA: now I really want to go to Vegas!
So Tasty, So Yummy
p.s. look at restaurant.com You can get some pretty good deals on certificates to use while there. Google for a coupon code before purchasing!
I know Strip Burger is on there. DH really enjoyed his breakfast at Raffles Caf? at Mandalay Bay we got it on there as well.
OH yes! They have really good shakes.
(We stayed at the Mirage. lol The only place I didn't eat in the hotel was Carnigie's Sandwich shop... I was sleeping when they all went there. lol)
The restaurant at Paris that has outdoor seating has a fabulous breakfast. They have a Bloody Mary bar that is super wonderful.
We ate at Craftsteak. It was great, but I am not sure it's worth the hype and it was about $175 a person and we each had one drink.
when we ate at craftsteak, we sat at the bar (it was croded and we didn't want to wait) and i think we both had filet and brussel sprouts. i'm sure we had some wine too, but it definitely wasn't 175pp. i remember the food being awesome, but also that we just had a really great couple of people around us at the bar, and the bartender was chatty and hilarious.
i think it was before we saw Ka, and we were so relaxed we both snoozed off and on during the show...lol.
it was an all-around great night.
we also had a great diner at emeril's steakhouse place in venetian/palazzo... i can't remember what it's called. we shared the chateau brionde (how do you spell that?!?!) and everything about the food/.service was wonderful. DH had been doing very well at the poker tables that night and i have no idea how much that meal cost.
