OMG! We did it!
We actually found TWO local lenders that gave us preapprovals. For those that don't know the story, the sellers wanted someone local before they would accept the offer - they told us this on Sunday and we had until 5pm today to get an approval. Well, we did it! And they accepted the offer!!! We have decided to go through our local credit union too, which is going to be so much better in the long run anyways. We set the closing date for Oct 20th. Finally - going to be a homeowner! yipeeeee!
