Good Morning!

What's on today's agenda?

QOTD: Do you sing:

In the shower? In the car? Karaoke? Professionally?

Re: Good Morning!

  • Good morning!

Just a regular day for me today. I had a few early morning meetings, then worked out, I have a few hours to do my thing before my afternoon/evening meetings start.

QOTD: I love to sing, but I'm a horrible singer so I try not to subject others to it. I'm so tone deaf. I can tell if others are singing off key, but when I am the one singing I can't hear the difference between pitch and volume. I should sing in the shower, but I don't. I sing in the car if I am alone. I have done Karaoke twice, once in sixth grade and once this past Christmas Eve when we celebrated in Tanzania with a few equally off-key friends. :-) I have no hope of singing professionally, it would be nice to do in theory though.

As an aside, when I used to play the piano regularly enough not to suck at it, I liked playing so that others could sing.

  • I'm heading out in a few minutes to go for a nice long walk. I have to bring an umbrella in case it rains. I forgot to do this yesterday and it started to rain so I had to cut the walk short. There is just something so incredibly boring about those sentences. Oh well :)

QOTD: I love to sing in the shower and in the car. But, I just can't do it in front of others. Mostly because I have no singing ability at all and can't stand that kind of embarrassment. Now that we live in an apartment where we can hear our upstairs neighbors often and we don't have a car, I never get a chance to really scream/sing the way I did before. I miss it.

  • Morning! I'm going to work late this morning because BabyD got a fever at school yesterday. Right at the end of the day. He's fine, no fever this morning, but he can't go to school today. The housemaid just showed up and so I'll be leaving in a few.

QOTD: Yes, I sing. On occasion. Karaoke has happened. Lately I sing a bunch of kids songs.

  • Hey folks!  I haven't been up this early in a long, long, looooooong time.  I'm going on a sail boat trip!  I've never been on one so that should be fun.  But the fjord is choppy and I'll probably freeze my arse off.  Oy.

QOTD: Not really.  Only in the car on long roadtrips by myself, which hasn't really happened in the 4 years I've been abroad and carless.

  • Good morning! Off to school in a bit. Since I'm the new kid, I still don't have a schedule so it'll be 6 hours of looking for something to do. I got really frustrated yesterday so I'm hoping today is a better day. If anything, I slept well last night! (I started yesterday by forgetting to put the capsule in the coffee maker - not good.) At least if the day sucks, I can plant my butt on the beach this afternoon.

QOTD: I sing in the car. DH is a music teacher, so I should be ashamed of my terrible skills but I don't care :)

  • Morning!  I have a fairly big meeting today, so I am up early.  Just working and I am debating on the gym.  I had an awesome workout yesterday and am a little sore.  I've really gotten into a grove and don't want to ruin it either!  We shall see....

QOTD: Same as wita, only in the car by myself, so about twice a year.  I wish I was a better singer.

  • I'm tired. H got back late last night after colliding with a car while riding his bicycle. Luckily only the car was damaged. I'm heading off to the playgroup with Baby L and then heading back home to clean and prepare the apt. for a dinner guest. SHe will be catsitting Briac while we are on vacation, so I need to get Briac's things together as well.

QOTD: I sing all the time, but I'm not good :)

  • Morning! Today we have to go and get the passport sprted out for E. apparently there is no application, I have to pay for it (did that yesterday at the bank) then go to the town hall and they do the rest! Thats all we have planned for today oh and a walk with the pup :)

QOTD: NO singing unless its kids songs, I sing completely out of tune!! OH and yes I am a music teacher?!?

  • Morning everyone.  I spent the night in a hotel for my bday yesterday, so I'm heading off to work late, thanks in part to the Ukrainian prime minister (more on that later in another post).  Then it's a normal day of gym and what not.  I have less than 2 weeks before leaving for Italy and I need to whip myself into shape!

QOTD:  Mostly in the car, so not recently.  Sometimes just randomly I sing to myself.  Oh, and to our dog.  A lot.  It's usually something very original, like this: "Little Moxie, so foxy and lovely...and cute.  And smart..and funny....."  I don't want to focus on her looks.  Yes, I know.  For our Russian DOG.

ETA:  I have been known to do karaoke, but oddly enough only when sober.  I once shamelessly made a friend speak afterwards, hoping his British accent would help the crowd not hate us.  I think it worked.

  • Good morning, INs! Working from home today and then grabbing some Tex-Mex food tonight with two friends. I haven't seen them in a while so I'm really looking forward to it.

QOTD: Oh yes, I sing. I absolutely love to sing--in the shower, in the car, walking around the living room, doing chores, etc. I also sang in the choir at the music conservatory associated with my college, and that meant one amazing opportunity where I got to perform with the Cleveland Orchestra at a series of concerts. But I hate solo singing in front of people--really, really hate it, which makes auditions pretty interesting. ;)

  • Morning! I'm listening to Beth sung now, it's hilarious. She's better than me, that's for sure.
  • Good morning.  I stayed up late to watch the US Open tennis final, so I'm a little slow and tired this morning.  Just a normal work day for me and then dinner at home.

QOTD: I wish I could sing better, so for everybody else's benefit, I limit singing to when I'm in the car by myself.  Although, I have been known to karaoke on occasion, but at least everybody else is just as bad as me!

  • Morning!

Just got home from having my hair cut and coloured. H will be surprised when he gets back from his trip tonight. When he left I had very long blond hair, not it's just below my shoulders with copper highlights.

Going for lunch with a friend later and then for a playdate after M finishes school.

QOTD: I sing all the time, I catch myself singing xmas tunes most often while I'm walking. I used to go to karaoke a lot when we were in Vietnam and sang in an x-bf's band once in awhile in high school.

  • Morning! Not too much going on today, I'm going to check out the new Forever 21 today, hopefully it's as cheap as in the US!

QOTD: I love to sing and do it often. I'm terrible but H says he loves it when I make up songs so I'll keep doing it!
