how close is your dh to your family?

i swear J is at my parents a heck of a lot more than i am. and when we go there for the "day" we end up staying for 2-4 because he never wants to leave! My dad calls him a heck of a lot more than he calls me in a year. I can't be the only one.....

Hubs isn't all that close to my family. I wish he was closer to my brothers, but they are kinda too rowdy for him. LOL They all get along and Hubs would do anything for them, they just don't "hang out".

very close. he'd move back in with my parents in a heartbeat if i didn't prevent him. and he and my brother consider themselves "brothers."

that was the longest year of my life, while we saved for our TH.

Not close at all. He thinks he'd like to be but in all honesty, they are overwhelming. I'm all of the overwhelming he can bear.

very close, we live near my family so we see them all the time. When we go to my moms she always has beer in the fridge for him and he makes himself right at home.

When we went away this summer he even asked if my mom wanted to come with us. He is def closer to my family than he is his own.

But even though they are close he gets these moments where he doesn't want to be around them and only wants it to be our little family.

My DH is very close with my family as I am with his. I am so lucky after hearing some IL horror stories.

He is close, His brother dates my Sister for 5 years now. My parents are over a lot or I am there a lot. He sees them at least 3-4 times a week. He sees his parents often also, where I avoid it as much as possible. I would have to say he is closer to mine then I am to his.

He is close with my family. He's gone there for dinner without me. He plays golf with my brother all the time. He's def closer with my family then I am with his.

I am not that close with my parents so H isnt that close with them either.

As for his family we see his parents more often I get along with them but he talks to them just about everyday.

Close... He enjoys the candidness we all have with one another... he'll talk to my mom when she calls... we'd probably stay at my house on the rare occasion we do stay over but my parents have this lame double blow up mattress on a bed that just is not comfortable so we usually will just drive home vs. going to his parents cause it really isn't that far. He has gone with my brother on these beer fest and brewery outtings a few times.. he's involved in my brothers fantasy football league... and he'll go if my brother is having a 'man sport party' at his house. He loves both of brother's children an incredible amount and loves his Uncle bond to them. My 14 yr old niece sometimes texts him more than me!

I would say he's pretty close. He works for the same company as my mom (different offices as homebase, totally different line of work) but on occasion he'll swing by my moms office to say hello...

we spend a fair amount of time with them, and he does often suggest I invite them to tagalong on outings.

But, ditto pp -- sometimes he wants just us 4 and not my family. but i'm sure that's normal.

DH is close with my dad, gram and sister, however my mother is a whole other story. He doesn't like her and barely tolerates her...ugh.

Very close. My parents did alot for him while we were dating from support to letting him eventually live with us b/c of family issues. He considers my two brothers his own. He is closer to my two brothers then his own two brothers. My parents live about a mile from us so we do see them alot, but there are def times where he wants it to just be us, and I get that too, my mom can be alittle over the top sometimes.
