I am desperate to find a pretty/organized location for two macbooks in my home. My husband and I both have macbooks that need a home at night instead of just laying out on tables and couches. I hate the obligatory power cord as well. I actually blogged about this I am so desperate for ideas. I need to make like a small pretty book shelf with slots in the back for the charger to stick through. But not feeling too crafty lately. And most charging stations are horribly ugly and gadgety or requiring a bit of surface space.
Where do you put your laptop when you want it out of the way that is still rather convenient?

Re: Laptop storage at night
Not very crafty, but I slip it under the couch at night. Power cord is hidden by skirt of couch and no little grabby hands can get to it and no cats can yak on it. I'd rather it be out of sight than on display.
But I've been thinking about putting up some adjustable shelves for some office stuff, tucked away in a hidden corner. I could see putting 3 shelves as close together as possible so you just had a slot high enough for the laptops and then other stuff on top of it. I was considering putting a curtain or something decorative down the side to make it not jump out at you, but in my case it would mostly be hidden behind a door anway.
I have a space between the wall and the arm of our sofa that's just crying for a small table. I think I'm going to build one with 2 shelves- one at a normal height for games or baskets, and one just 4-5 inches below the top for our laptops.
(as it is, we push them under the couch. which sucks because of pet hair)
