Kira joined the Girl Scouts last night. Much to her disappointment she cannot be a Fireside Girl like Ruby from Max and Ruby. The first meeting was chaotic but hopefully it gets a tad calmer once the meetings start. I have a feeling she is going to enjoy it, me not so much.
Cookie sales started last night. She wants to sell 200 boxes. I'm not sure that we will hit that goal but we'll try. 200 boxes gets her a glittery soccer ball and she is all about that.
Anyone else have a DD in girl scouts or plan to register DD when they are of age?
Re: I'm a girl scout mom....
You had me at cookies...
I was in the girl scouts, so I plan to register A when the time comes (well if she wants to that is!).

I was in GS from about the time I was 6 until 13...I loved it! And I'm sorry that I didn't stick with it through HS for potential scholarship opportunities. If I have a daughter, I'd definitely consider putting her in it. So many good skills are learned and I really like the mission of the GS.

Yes Kira is a daisy.
I think she will be cute in her uniform.
Cookies are $4 per box now.
They have so many events to do but each one costs money. Troop meetings are weekly. Kira's social calendar is killing me.
She's going to love it. I mean they sing songs and do crafts, what is their not to like?
She called my parents last night to tell them that she is now a cookie seller.
