Ten Things Tuesday
1. I am actually really glad to be back at work.
2. I loved vacation, but DH and I decided next time we go on vacation we're going to fly, even if it's cheaper to drive.
3. We drove a little over 2500 miles in the last two weeks... I'm glad to be at home now.
4. My FIL is taking me out to lunch today!
5. I need to renew my drivers license and I really really want a new picture.
6. My birthday is in less than two weeks!
7. I'm supposed to have a birthday party, but I haven't really done anything to plan for it....
8. I also want to plan a halloween party!
9. I am getting together with one of my neighbors tonight to catch up, I haven't had a chance to talk to her in almost a month, because we've both been on vacation! I'm so excited!
10. I NEED to start filing the piles of mail that we have in our house right now... The piles seem to be taking over. It's so frustrating!

1. My stomach is literally growling for lunch and it is only 11:00.
2. I really don't want to get a snack because I want to drop some lbs.
3. I bid on a hotel on Priceline for our anniversary trip next month.
4. I am excited about the deal we got on a 4* hotel and the hotel we won. But at the same time, it was still spendy and that bums me out a little. I would like the fancy hotel for the motel 6 price William Shatner claims you can get. He's a lying liar, but it was still a good deal for what we won.
5. Outback just sent me an email that they mailed my free steak dinner voucher. Now my stomach is really grumbling.
6. I need to escape work early on Thursday so I can return a few things at the mall before the gtg.
7. We started some landscaping last weekend.
8. I am sore from #7.
9. I'm not sure there will be enough coffee for me today. *yawn*
10. I was just told my boss won't be here until Thursday. That just made everything better.
As long as you have to go to renew, you'll get a new picture. I was told by SoS that every time you are IN the office re: your license, they will update your picture. I learned this when I got a new license when I changed my name (the first time), and got an awesome picture. I had to renew like a year later, and when I went in they took another one...which I was totally not ready for (I like to plan out my pictures so that I get a good one) and looked like butt. I complained (yes, like a teenage girl), and that's what they told me. Good luck on your picture! The last one I got was DA BOMB! lol
1. I have been super busy this past week and have vowed that I won't make any more plans than what I already have for the next two weeks.
2. It's pretty sad when you wake up in the morning and feel physically exhausted before you even get out of bed.
3. There are baby clothes strewn all over my living room in my attempt to sort sizes and get thing washed.
4. I'm really glad we're having another girl seeing as I won't have to buy another clothing item for her probably...ever.
5. I really dislike ironing, and the fact that I have to iron all of DH's new work clothes now doesn't thrill me.
6. Emma was laying down on the floor last night "making snow angels" and it was really funny.
7. She kept asking me to make them with her, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back up. lol.
8. 17 days.
9. Grey's Anatomy returns next week and I still have four episodes on my DVR to watch from last season.
10. Emma has been a rockstar at going potty lately.
actually I renewed mine once and they took a new pictures but DIDN"T use it! I was a little upset because I got stuck using the one from when I was 16 for like 5 years, it looked so young in it!
That is WONDERFUL news!!! I am going to be a crazy mom and start M at Christmas time, we have a shut down period so I will be home with her for 2 full weeks.. I am hoping she will catch on!!
I don't technically have to go in, but i plan on going in, specifically so I can take a new picture. I got a new picture taken when I got my new license with my married name and the woman laughed at the picture and said "Well at least you'll only have to have that picture for one year". I was like WTF?
My picture before that was awesome! I always got compliments when I got ID'd, lol. That's not the case anymore....

Thanks!! I waited until she was about 25 months and tried. I started her with the pull-ups around April (30 months old) and she was hit or miss with wanting to wear those/go on the potty for a while. For the last few weeks I feel like it's really clicked for her though. I made a little chart for her and she gets a sticker every time she goes. When she gets a certain amount of stickers, she gets to have a slushie.... her current fave. She's telling me when she has to go, even if we're out in public at a store or something.
Moral of the story, try not to get discouraged if she doesn't catch on right away. Sometimes it takes a long time but eventually she'll get the hang of it. Good luck!!

I make DH buy clothes that don't need to be ironed
(Seriously though, St. John's Bay makes some really nice button up shirts that don't wrinkle. They're they best!)

1. I woke up about 3am this morning because my stomach was upset and then I couldnt get back to sleep.
2. Because of number one I am soooo tired today.
3. Number three bums me out a bit because I dont know if I will be able to stay up and watch Teen Mom, especially since its an hour and a half long tonight instead of just an hour.
4. My cousin who is 4 years younger than me and very religious, got married two months ago. She announced over the weekend that she is 8 weeks pregnant....
5. Number 4 frustrates me, because her first time ever doing it period, and she get knocked up.
6. I wish it were that easy for me, but then again, we arent really actively trying, so I guess I cant complaint.
7. Speaking of pregnant, my other cousin has two kids and is on wellfare, was complaining a few months ago about not being able to have a kid. She is now pregnant, and complaining about being pregnant. I want to slap her.
8. I think I have baby issues. Lol.
9. Im looking forward to the GTG on Thursday. I want me me bread, though I think Mara and Ritzy are going to eat it all
10. I am going to the Ren Fest on Sunday and cant wait to wear my Pirate costume!
1. We have a new hire at work that is very enthusiastic. I suppose thats a good thing, but I'm started to get exhausted feeling responsible for keeping her busy as much as she'd like.
2. I'm kinda pissed off at the HR at our company. We haven't had a company handbook in over two years, and the info about maternity leave is very out-of-date, and it just kind of feels like they're screwing me over a little.
3. We have our last birthing class this Thurs & I'm glad that I'll be starting to get my evenings back. We've only got a few more weeks till the pumpkin is supposed to arrive and I'd like to take advantage of it and relax a little.
4. My parents have season tickets to UofM football and my mom just called me last night to let me know that their seat neighbors want to sell us their tickets for the next two games. I'm so glad to get a chance to go to a couple more games before we have to worry about the LO.
5. Over the weekend I took a belly pic and pics of the nursery. I tried to upload them last night but could not figure out how to get the memory card out of the dang camera. By the time DH came home to help me I was so frustrated I just didn't bother with it.
6. I will try to upload the pics tonight, I promise.
7. My two neices' birthday party is on Saturday & I have yet to buy them a gift or even know what I'm getting them.
8. I really hope we can go apple picking in the next week or two. Last year we waited until October and it was really picked over already.
9. My company did a reorganization of my department last Thursday. Since then, there has been absolutely no mention of it, and there hasn't even been an email telling the rest of the company that there was any changes at all. Very weird.
10. My boss did not show up for work today and didn't even call or let anyone know (as far as I know) that he wasn't coming in. I am 100% sure this means his wife is in labor (or maybe done already). I'm so excited for them!
That's awesome! It's going to be so nice not having to worry about having two in diapers.

1. I fell asleep last night at 9:30 and I'm still tired today. What's wrong with me?
2. I was hoping to get a pedicure before we leave for FL and it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
3. Follow up to #2...what color should I paint my toes?
4. I'm so excited to see my Dad this weekend. I miss him!
5. It stinks when you go to Florida to visit and you don't have enough time to see everyone.
6. I'm not looking forward to the cooler weather...at least not yet. I love Summer!
7. However, I am looking forward to the cider mill.
8. DH & I looked at a house on Sunday and the basement was covered in mold. I definitely don't want to take on that project.
9. I hope we hear something on the house we put the offer on soon. I'm becoming very impatient!
10. Finally I'm done with my 10 things...that was hard
1. I have the whole week off of work!
2. But I'm home supervising house projects that will end up costing lots of $$
3. The painters were here yesterday and we no longer have mint chocolate chip walls which I'm super pumped about.
4. Although we found out that the ceilings were painted a lighter shade of green to match. I was beyond pissed when I found out because all of us assumed it was just the light reflecting off the walls onto a white ceiling. Who paints vaulted ceilings GREEN! (I apologize in advance if I insult anyone, it just so is not our taste.)
5. The plumbers are here today to install a back up on our sump pump and fix a damaged drainage line.
6. Because of #5, I have a giant, muddy hole in my backyard and I feel like a hillbilly.
7. I was going to treat myself to lunch but they parked behind me in the driveway so I'm blocked in
8. I was quite upset watching the Bachelor Pad reunion show last night. Blake is such a jerk for proposing right before but then saying "we didn't want to rub it in your face Michael." Well then wait until after all the taping is done, duh.
9. I am exhausted because we had to keep Bella in our room for a full 24 hours while the painting was going on and then for it to dry. She was great during the day but she was awful last night. Woke up at least twice every hour because she was scratching at the door or meowing at us to wake up.
10. And of course right now, she's sleeping on our bed. Go figure.
1. Started BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) this morning, so glad to be back for another year.
2. I felt like a kid on the first day of class seeing everyone I knew from last year & a few new people that I knew.
3. Kaitlyn & Joshua had no problems going to their classes, I love that!
4. Kaitlyn even asked me if Joshua could come to her class.
5. After BSF we ran a few errands & Kaitlyn fell asleep on the way home, so I drove all the way to Whitmore Lake area, just driving down 7 Mile & back home, I love to just drive where ever.
6. I am my own navigation system, I had no cares where I was going & no worry about getting lost (yes I do have a GPS in our minivan, but never touched it).
7. I'm so ready for my women's retreat this weekend & riding up w/my friend Trish, good time for us to get to know each other better.
8. The weather should be perfect up on Portage Lake, sunny & high/mid 60's both days!
9. I really need this break, the last few months I've lost my patience quicker w/Kaitlyn & I am just mentally/emotionally drained.
10. So glad DH is ready to see what it's like to be me for 3 days & I know he can't wait to have time w/the kids.

2. I'm really happy to be home from work. I'm exhausted.
3. One of my chrysalis hatched today - so far that's 3 monarchs hatched and 3 to go!
4. I am letting a company borrow my car for testing and they are paying me $125 a day for 2 days which will pay for the window repair that needs to happen. Yay!
5. I started my volunteer work up again today after a 2 week break. It was fun - but stressful - but fun! I need to do it more.
6. I started running yesterday (well, running with a LOT of walking in between short bursts) and my legs huuuuuurt! But I want to get fit!
7. Tomorrow is going to be a really hard day at work!
8. Work needs to stop being so demanding.
9. Dinner is ready!
10. It's pizza.
We went out to Maine for my brothers wedding! You were in the Boston area right? We drove right through there!

We actually drove through Niagara then up to Maine then down to Penn. It was super fun! Maine was gorgeous! That's so funny that we went on almost the same trip at almost the same time!
We went through Niagara too!!! We almost drove home through Penn, because I90 was flooded, but they opened up the highway just in time for us to drive through! That is crazy! What did you do in Maine?

Neither me nor DH has ever been to the east coast, so we just wanted to experience it. We went the Coastal Maine Botanic Garden, got lobster, walked around, and camped. It was pretty fun! Maine and New Hampshire were my favorite states over there.
I look terrible in my driver's license picture. I had just gotten a new one before DH and I got married and since I knew they'd be taking a picture I attempted to look good. I was pleased with the results.
After we got married and I went in to change my name, they made me take another picture. I had my hair pulled back and was wearing a wool coat. I quickly threw on some lip gloss and tried to salvage the picture but I don't think it helped too much.
