What are you (or your kiddos) going to dress up as for halloween?

FI and I were just talking about this last night because his sister throws a big Halloween party every year. Last year we were a genie and a lamp. FI wore this costume (just the lamp) and I was a genie.
This year we really want to go as David Lee Roth and Hot For Teacher. FI thinks it would be funny to wear the spandex. lol. I thought it might also be "funny" to go as Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson. (current event costumes were a big hit last year)
hahahaha! DH is never really into dressing up for halloween, but this is the first year that we will have trick-or-treat-ers so I'm definitely going to make him dress up! Maybe we should come up with a "couples" costume... I'm not very creative though...

Lol at the magic lamp! Although, I feel like that would get annoying to wear after a while.
It all depends on when our little pumpkin decideds to make an appearance. If I'm still pg at the time (I'm really hoping I won't be), then I think DH is planning to paint a jack-o-lantern on my belly. Either way, I don't think I'll be going to any parties or anything this year.
Peyton is going to be a one eyed blue fuzzy monster. We are trying to teach her to say rawrrr! It's not going so well though. :P
I am not sure what I'm going to be. I haven't even thought about it. Last Halloween I had a 9 day old baby so we didn't do anything. Peyton had a little My First Halloween onesie and a pumpkin hat. Side note- I've been really sad seeing all of these my first halloween stuff this year. It makes me sad that P will not have anymore my first gear!

I'm not sure what my 1 year old will be. The 3 year old suggested: another dinosaur, a dinosaur egg, or a tree. He wants it to be something like his.

I like the idea of a "cracked dino egg". That would be really cute! It reminds me of the "dinosaurs" show from when I was a kid!

I have a newborn monkey costume that I bought last year for $0.50 at Target. As I was buying it I thought "Why are you buying this?!?" and I felt like a hoarder buying it. But it was such a good deal I figured that I could give it to someone that had use for it... and now Lily will get to wear it!
I have some costumes in Emma's size that I bought last year on clearance at Old Navy too. I think I paid $5.00 for each of them. I know I have a dalmation costume, and I'm pretty sure I have another monkey costume in her size too! I have to take a look at my "costume" bin.
I'll probably just "dress up" as an exhausted frumpy Mom.
You can have a barrel of monkeys!

Wear something brown, stick a long tail and ears on and you can be a monkey too
I like that idea--- how the heck would I make an egg like that though?!

I have no idea what DD is going to be but your post makes me a little annoyed that I didn't pick up any clearance costumes at the end of last year.

Funny you asked since I just bought Joshua's outfit today at Once Upon a Child. I found a cute giraffe costume for $4.50! I was happy, since he's only 15 months, so he doesn't care (and I'm not spending a fortune on costumes). I just happen to go in the store to buy regular clothes, but found it & bought it too. Not sure about Kaitlyn, she loves Cars & Thomas the Train, maybe something along that, I don't care if she's a girl, that's what she loves. I'll probably look at Craigslist & the other consignment stores to see what I can find.
As for me & DH, we don't dress up.
