Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Google+ Video Chat
Since Margaret said Skype won't work for more than one person and suggested Google+, I think we should get set up so we are ready to "see" everyone.
So what needs to be done?
-->Who wants to be included in video chat (ETA limit of 10? Margaret can you confirm?)
-->Invites for Google+ sent
-->What time for chat? We are meeting at 11 est for brunch. Do a 2 est video chat?

So I just checked, and Skype does do Group Video Calling, so I don't know which one we want to use.
I know that Barb, and Rebecka want to get in on it. I think there was someone else but I'm not sure? Maybe Danie? Or Jeni? I have a mini laptop that I was planning on bringing anyway, so we can use that if you want.
We would need to figure out where to do the video chat as well. perhaps a cafe or something that does free wifi?

Yup, 10 people is the max for a "hangout" on Google+. It's super easy and free! Let me know if anyone wants invites - I have like 150 :P
I believe that Skype group video chat costs money. At least from their website, it looks like at least one person in the video chat must have Skype premium or a group video subscription. But I believe there is a 7-day free trial. I've never tried the group video, so I don't know if it's better or worse than Google+.
I say leave it up to the out of town people, but maybe be ready to do both incase one is not working. I am happy to help!

I'll have to do my best to kick Amanda off the club penguin chat room in order to get on, unless it works on my netbook. Count me in and I'll try my best to get there!!!
ETA: Just realized I don't have a microphone on the netbook OR the desktop.
And DH told Amanda she can have her BFF stay over AGAIN.....so they'll be hogging the computer to boot. I also told him I don't want to make a habit of sleepovers every other weekend. We have 1 kid. If I want to feed and deal with 2 kids every other weekend I'd have one. PLus I have to wash 10 tons of sheets when they drag her whole bed set downstairs to sleep ont he basement floor.
I AM IN! Can we please do it Sunday?
