I see a lot of you ladies are pregnant from your signatures. Do any of you not want to know the sex of your child until it's born?
Re: Completely off topic
I think whenever you find out is a amazing surprise, whether it's during an ultra sound or at birth, cause either way you didn't know for a while right?
We just want to be ready. We want to have the room put together and names picked out. I am not a "lets paint everything a neutral color" type of person.
Plus, if it's going to be a boy, I need some time to get use to the idea, haha.
Not that I am pregnant, or even close, this is just what we have decided. I think it is just as special to find out before. But to each their own
Yeah, I'm one of those people who is scared to paint anything other than beige or light pastels. My couch is beige. My rugs are beige! I don't think I'd have a problem painting everything a neutral color.
My Valentine Bookends (2~13~13, 2~15~09)
There are so many cool and creative ways to find out now. We had our midwife put the gender in a sealed and stapled envelope. Then we got together with my family and my hubby's family and opened it at a restaurant. There were about 20 of us and it was pretty fun. We always said that if we plan to have more we would just wait till the end. A couple of friends of mine have had their OB call their baker to tell them the sex of the baby. The baker then prepares a cake with the color filling representing the gender (pink girl, blue boy) and the family usually surprises the expecting mommy and or daddy with the cake. People have gotten really creative!
We definitely wanted to know. It was an amazing suprise when we found out at the ultrasound. My gut was telling me it was a girl and he showed us clearly that it wasn't the case
