Yesterday afternoon was kind of crazy.
Well, it started at about 10 am. I was asked my home mailing address, and I couldn't remember it. Went to dial my mom's work number (which I do every day), and had to look it up on my phone because I couldn't remember it. My speech was really weird, too. So, I'm sitting at home over lunch, and slowly I start losing the vision in my right eye, so at that point I thought I was going to get a migraine, but I had no pains yet, so I just go back to work. About 15 minutes after one the migraine hit and it was a DOOZY! So, with my headaches, migraines, IBS issues, along with all of the joint pain I have been having in all my major joints, my doctor wanted me to come in. So, I go in, and tell her all of my symptoms. Crazy thing is, a year ago she had a 19-year-old girl with the same problems. They sent her to every specialist in the state and eventually for a pysch eval because they just thought she was crazy. So, this little old lady told my doctor that she used a sulfa drug like 40 years ago for the same stuff and it changed her world. So, now I am on the same drug, Sulfasalazine, that basically worked a miracle for that 19 year old. She also took blood to check for all kinds of different things as well. Ugh. This will be really nice if this thing works! Plus, my doctor talked about an insulin related medication that people use that can't lose weight (ME) and that are having fertility problems. So, in a couple of weeks we are going to talk to my OB about that, too. Yay! Finally some answers!!!
Re: Yesterday afternoon...
Thats awesome that you are finally getting some answers.
My sister was having crazy issues with headaches and dizzyness and migraines and she couldn't get answers TONS of neuroligists and whatnot. Turns out she couldn't eat gluten. Sometimes its the most random things and no blood test ever found that. I really hope the new solution works for you!!
Oh my goodness! That seems so scary!
I am glad they are finally getting some answers. I hope that you feel better right away, and that they can solve everything for you!
