Is anyone friends with their ex?
I just got a friend request on fb from an old bf. Obviously we split a long time ago and it was a mutual break up. Should I accept it?
Re: Is anyone friends with their ex?
Not really. I am FB friends with one ex, but this is an ex from when I was 16 & we dated for about 8 months. He is coo coo for Coco Puffs and I haven't deleted him partly because he is so weird and partly because it would hurt his feelings. I think I may hide him though because sometimes I cringe at his posts.
No other old bf's have contacted me. My ex-h is a no way in hell.
I'm not, but there are a few people who I was friendly with after the relationship ended that I wouldn't mind it. So long as it wasn't messy, or he wasn't still pinning after you I think it would be fine. I would probably run something like that by DH before accepting, though, just out of courtesey.
DH does have one ex-gf on his facebook. I'm fine with this since it was a long time ago and he doesn't really even talk to/ pay attention to her anyways - but some of his gf's were crazycakes and I don't think I'd want them to be able to see what's going on in our lives
I will definitely check with DH before I accept it, but I'm still not sure if I want to or not.
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
I agree with this. I wouldn't. Because, quite frankly, what if they go all stalker-ish on you (after all you are awesome and he has probably been pining after you all these years). It's not worth the potential for drama imo.
I think I am in the minority here, but I am friends with a few ex's on facebook, every now and then we message eachother just to see what the other person is up to, not a big deal, DH doesnt really care.
One of them I am friends with in real life. We talk on the phone once in a blue moon and get together when he comes to town, which has been once in the last 5 years. He works for Comcast so when I have problems, I usually call him and not Comcast. DH knows this. DH doesnt care. He understands there is a reason we broke up and this guy is not a threat in any way. Though this ex and I were good friends before dating and then breaking up, so it might be a slightly different situation.
LOL...thanks! I agree it's not worth it if it will cause any drama. Thanks ladies!
I'm friends with a few of them. One of them was a pretty serious one from college and the other is from the guy right before DH.
DH doesn't care. The college one is married with a kid, we hardly ever talk but I still keep in contact with a lot of his friends.
