Hi my long lost pals!
Started the new job yesterday and it's been very busy, which is a good thing for me. I had 4 or 5 assignments waiting for me and they keep coming - some people may not like this but it makes me very happy to be busy and actually feel like a real attorney for once in my life. I really like the people here, esp my bosses to took me out to a really nice lunch yesterday.
I will say the one thing that I am going to struggle with is where exactly I fit in. I am the only female attorney, but all of the "staff" (legal assistants, secretaries) are women several of whom are close to my age. It's generally frowned upon for attorneys to be TOO friendly with staff, so I'm having a little bit of an identity crisis - "I'm an attorney, but I'm a girl!" kind of moment. I know it will be fine though 
I'm going to catch up on posts but probably won't have a chance to reply to all of them - so just know that I am thinking of you all, happy for everyone who has something great going on, and sending t&p for those that need it, too.

So glad it is going well!! I know how you feel about the "where do I fit in". I was recently registered for a convention, and I noticed the girl put me down as a CSR. Yes, I technically do take care of customer relations, but I am also an agent AND the fricking manager of my office! I think I am past the CSR label, but whatever. They are just used to the women in that office being a CSR.
