    Progressive, we rechecked in January and they were still the lowest by at least $150, plus we bundle and get a discount. We used to have Nationwide when we were in VT, but their prices skyrocketed for us when we moved out here.

    Its been awhile but we have Farmers Mutual for the house and vehicles and Progressive for the motorcycle. :) We thought about shopping around before signing papers on this house but decided that Farmers Mutual had been good to us that we just switched agents.

    We use American Family and have had them for several years...honestly haven't checked around much for other prices, but should probably do that!

    I always call a broker to shop around for me.  We just swtiched from Iowa Mutual to Farmer's.

    We shopped around when we bought our house a year ago and State Farm and Allstate came in neck and neck. It really came down to the helpfulness and response time of the agent. Both were far cheaper than Farmers. I highly recommend Shawn Benge with State Farm. :)

    State Farm rates have been high lately... you may be surprised how much you can save by switching!  :)  We switched from State Farm 3 years ago.

    My only suggestion is to make sure you know what you WANT for insurance... and that you're comparing apples to apples. I found that each company was quoting me varying coverage.... with different things included, even though I was asking for a specific thing. So if you're looking for the cheapest one... make sure it's covering what you need it to cover. That's where a broker probably comes in handy -- because they know what all the insurance lingo is. It took me A LOT of back and forth doing it myself to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed.

    We had a guy shop around and Traveler's is the cheapest for both our cars and our house combined.

    The Hartford, my current provider, has passed the test yet again. I?ve had home, auto and RV insurance with them for 8 years now and I look at other quotes before renewing my policy every year, but yet again, they?re giving me the best car insurance rates out there Smile.
