roast:
whatever cut of beef you like for a roast
assorted root vegetables (i usually use potato, turnips, celery, carrots, onions, etc)
1 can cream of whatever soup (celery or mushroom works best)
1 packet of pot roast seasoning
brown the beef on the stove top (if you're short on time you don't have to do this)
cube root vegetables in to bite size cubes
mix the seasoning and cream of soup together
put the veggies down in the pot and put the meat on top of that, then pour the soup/seasoning mixture over
cook on low for 6-8 hours
Google is failing me right now - I'll have to report back tonight.
ETA - here is one we love and it freezes well.

Basically any kind of stew. Love it, especially in the fall.
Sorry I don't have any recipes...
my currently-reading shelf:
We've only made chicken and dumplings but i am in search of more recipes to make!
i don't know how to make stew.. .:( and i don't know what kind of roast meat to get.. i know it's lame but it's true!
my crockpot has only seen beans and my co-worker said i made a roast once.. but i don't remember that. lol.
put the meat in before work, then when you get home, add the veggies and let cook for another hour or so.
