anyone have one, or have anything to say about them?
my sister is considering getting one (or knows someone. she asked me about it).
Re: mitsubishi outlander?
All I can say is gas.
We had looked into them because we like the size and Mitsubishi but the MPG pretty much suck comparably speaking. Others in the class are better. If that isn't a deciding factor, then go for it.
she has an acadia right now, but needs something that can hold her, the man, and five kids.
FIVE!
i'll tell her to look at the mileage, though. that will be important!

We looked at one before we bought our Equinox. The 3rd row is really small. It was also very flimsy looking, not something I would want to use everyday. I know krj looked at one before they bought their mini-van.
My SIL was in a Tahoe with her 5 kids and caved and bought a mini-van. She loves her Honda Odyssey.
We have one (2010 model).... but it is the company car (we choose) and they pay for gas
We like it but it has mainly been the 2 of us until recently.... now we have a LO so there is only 3 of us. I like it..... We also had one in Canada which we liked more (2007 model), that one seemed more solid for some reason. It was 4WD as oppose to our one here which is 2WD.
Im not sure it would be great for 5 kids. Im presuming some would maybe need car seats? We have a bucket seat in the middle position now, on one side there is plenty of room, on the other it was a tight, especially with an adult sitting there. The 3rd row as PP mentioned is pretty small, kids would have to be small to use it really but then of course they would also have to probably be out of car seats.....
The trunk is a good size though without using the 3rd row! I think there might be better options though if they really need it to fit 5 kids in all the time!
the kids are 13, 8, 8, 5, and 3. I'm pretty sure they just do a carseat for the 3 yr old at this point.
the 8, 5, and 3 yr olds (his kiddos) are usually only with them on the weekends, so it's not like they will need to stuff 7 people in the car on a daily basis. but on occasion, everyone will need to be in there!

we test drove one and it was so cramped. i could not imagine driving one daily with my kids. i need breathing room.
the third row seats were so flimsy and uncomfortable, too.
