<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI just finished and thought it was quite good. I am curious to see what happens next. It is definitely the type of show I like with having to following what is going on at all times.
What did everyone else think?
if you add spoilers to your title, I will
lol
I also was pleasantly surprised
i may need to watch again. we were drinking so this could be why i didnt follow. ha.
but yeah....do explain please
I just wanted to avoid another heated spoiler debate, lol!!!
Ok, here's what I gathered. Something happened 6 years ago involving a little boy named Sean. I'm thinking it was maybe Siobhan's son? Or their little brother? It was implied that something happened to him (I'm assuming he died) due to Bridget's negligence/alcoholism/irresponsible lifestyle, which is why the 2 girls hadn't spoken until recently.
I think Siobhan devised an ingenius scheme to 1) escape her current life 2) get revenge on her sister.
She never told anyone in her new life that she had a twin so disappearing would be easy for her. She invited Bridget to her home under the guise that she had put the past behind her and was ready to move on. Siobhan fakes her own suicide, leaving behind her wedding ring so that Bridget would know she wanted her to take over her life in essence, and also that it was an intentional disappearance. Bridget jumps at the chance to live a life of luxury and assume the identity of her twin who is not a fugitive whom the mob wants to kill (as she is). Going along with what PP stated, I also think Siobhan somehow planted that letter in Bridget's locker to cast suspicion on Bridget.
Siobhan is really hiding out in Paris. She hires someone to kill Bridget and make it look like a mob hit, which wouldn't be surprising given Bridget's circumstances. But Bridget kills him instead. Next week should get very interesting!
Anyone, please feel free to add/correct me. That's what I got out of it.
Great synopsis, sounds perfect based on what we saw. I thought it was a little slow-moving...I mean, it felt like a long hour. And the scene on the boat...the effects were bad. I was surprised by that. But it's definitely intriguing. I'll stick with it for now to see where it goes.
whew. i drank more than i realized. haha. rewatching after work.
I watched it just because I used to have a huge crush on Ioan Gruffudd (I watched him when he started- in Horatio Hornblower (AE miniseries) and it was actually pretty good. Not my favorite, but I'll watch it again. :-)
And I don't think Siobhan planted the letter in the locker, since I'm pretty sure it showed Bridget putting the stuff in there before she assumed Siobhan's identity. It showed Bridget taking off her jacket, putting it in the locker, etc. But yeah, definitely stupid of her if that was what she did...
