Bern's Steakhouse
Going to Bern's has been on our checklist of restaurants for a while now. Since my fiancee's birthday is coming up in a few weeks, I was thinking of making reservations and taking him there. Any feedback on the restaurant? Did anyone make a visit to the dessert room? How was that? Thanks!!!

Love Bern's! I love it for the whole dining experience. You will definitely want to call and make a reservation as it gets very busy there. Plan to be there for at least 3 hours or so. Therefore I wouldn't make a real late reservation unless you like to be eating late at night.
Dessert room is the BEST part. So many choices and such a neat place. You must go to the dessert room and take the kitchen and wine cellar tour. The server should ask if you want to, but if he/she doesn't, let them know it's your first time there and you want to take the tour.

This may make us sound like total cheeseballs, but whateves... H proposed to me in the desert room there. As if I didn't love it before, now it's like Disney to me. Ice wine, chocolate macadamia ice cream, the most delicious fresh roasted coffee I've ever had, and he finally gave me a damn ring
(I'm totally kidding by the way I said that, but seriously, I patiently waited 4 years. kind of patiently:) )
Berns is very unique. The decor is kind of dark and gothic and some people say the food isn't worth all the buzz. But it is definately a must try. Do not go without visiting the desert room. That is a non-negotiable.
