Do you like this dress?

Sort of a follow up to the help me shop post- I love the print and colors, just don't know I actually like it.

Re: Do you like this dress?

  • The color is nice. The print is OK. But I can't see it being flattering unless you are pin thin (and even then it is questionable), and the sleeves are weird.  And its really really short. I am a length prude, but where would you wear that other than the bar?
  • Yeah, I wasn't totally sold on the sleeves and length either.  The photographer is trying to push me out of my comfort zone style wise... so I'm trying.

I am also totally smitten with an emerald green color, but can't find a dress I like.

  • It's NMS...and the sleeves would drive me batty!

  • NMS, but to each their own.

I did like this one though on the same site:)

That's pretty cute! I love the zipper and key hole in the back.

  • It's NMS either; howver, I think you ar on track with the type of material(s) to go with ... not bulky, forgiving (not that you need it) - something that just falls against you, and has a bit of the glamour feel

You're too sweet.  So maybe something a bit silkier (?)... Ha! totally just had a vision of me prancing around downtown Cleveland in a nighty.

  • How about this one from that site.  You said the photographer said "slinky"

Haha, I had that image in my head too!  I don't know, personally, how comfortable I would be running around in a style dress similar to that - you could totally pull it off though!

Otherwise, what about something similar to this?

     or this?

Whatever you decide on, maybe be mindful of the "shine" of the material.  If you are shooting in the evening / at night, the speedlight or even the lights of the city might add some unwanted "hot spots" on the dress.

God love you for having that frame of mind (no pun intended).  I would have never tought to think of that!

Haha!!  It's how I roll Wink

I am in the middle of editing my cousin's wedding pictures and have noticed it on a few of the guests so I guess I had it in the back of my mind :)  Plus I am super excited for you and this shoot and I CANNOT wait until you get the pictures back!

NO joke I went on the Lolly the Trolley tour once while I was visiting and there was a woman doing boudior shots in one of the international gardens. Yeah the old pervy men on the trolley were enjoying that and there was one little 4 or 5 year old boy that was like Momma why is she in Jammies?
