Re: In honor of our anniversary month...

  • I can't say much about this marriage since I've already been married before so I will go with my first marriage.  I wish I knew that I was too young and not ready for marriage at 19.

Kasi's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

  • I wish I knew Jason would start opening farting.  It was like after the "i do's" he flipped a farting switch. Ha!

I'm with Kasi, I totally wish I had listened to everyone when they said 22 (me) & 19 (xh) was to young to be married...

  • I wish I knew how crazy his family would be before we got married.  It wouldn't have changed anything, but I would have been better prepared!

  • Oddly marriage is exactly what I thought it would be.  Is that weird?

  • I wish I would have known how un-helping he was really going to be with the house and Levi.  He does literally nothing.  I had toys picked up the other night getting Levi ready for bed.  Levi had other plans and emptied the blocks.  I finally got him to bed and upstairs, I heard DH mess with blocks.  When he came upstairs I asked if he picked the blocks up for me and he said no, he just kicked them to the side.

  • I wish I had been more prepared for the hard stuff, not sure if you can prepare for that, but still.

Ditto. Our first year of marriage had alot of downs more than ups.

Other than that, nothing really. I knew how crazy his family is, his open farting, his bad habits and yet I still managed to marry him :-)

  • I wish I'd known that remodeling/painting/projects at our house would result in more fighting than working together most of the time.

I swear, we yell at each other through the most simple of projects for pretty much no reason.

  • I wish I had know the man I married was not the person I ended up divorcing.

I think you need to frame this quote. :-)

  • I wish I had known the evolution that we would go through as a couple.  I am so thankful that Jerry has given me a backbone and encouraged me to stand behind what I feel.  That has made a huge difference in my life and my relationships.
