Jaycee Duggar

today I start reading her book and I wanted to cry after the second page. My heart break for but also for her mother and the guilt she live through. How do you explain a kid what to do in a situation like that without destroying their innocense and childhood. At the same time it get so mad that so many people saw them and nobody notice a thing wrong with this.

Re: Jaycee Duggar

  • I watched an interview on ABC Nightly News w/ Diane Sawyer right before her book came out. http://www.hulu.com/search?query=jaycee+dugard

It was heart breaking, and horrifying. Her book is on my list of books to read. It is insane that the probation officer was in the house while she was there - The whole thing is just crazy.

  • The book is on my to-read list too.  Like Sting said, that whole story is just crazy.  She seems to be doing so well.

yes, she dealt with the situation very gracefully, imo. The interview with Diane Sawyer was very interesting

  • you ladies are going to love the book, I cant put it down!. and I would also reccomend "Room" is a fiction story base on a 5 year old born to a kidnapped and raised mom who live in a small room in the backyard.

I saw this in Target - it's on my list to read as well. My library stinks and doesn't order new books (unless they are on the NYT best seller list). so I guess i'll have to suck it up & buy it at some point.

  • I read ROOM a few weeks ago and it was interesting.  I want to read the Jaycee book too, my friend has it right now and she's going to let me borrow it when she's done.  I'm so intrigued by people in the situation and how they turn into survival mode to deal with it whatever way they can.  It is very inspirational.
