What style dress would you wear with running shoes?
I'm in a wedding next month and everyone in the bridal party is wearing running shoes (mostly white with orchid purple detailing--Asics). So, I need a navy/navy print dress to wear with them. I'm really struggling with this because I'm not a big shopper and I have short, stocky legs. So wearing a dress with flat shoes isn't the most flattering look for me either. Feel free to post suggestions if you need something to do at work, or you just love to shop online or you're just a nice, helpful person. Thanks!
Re: What style dress would you wear with running shoes?
Is there a significance to wearing the running shoes?
I'm in the same boat as you, as any shoe that cuts me off at the ankle looks pretty awful... even with shorts. Can you wear a full length dress or does it have to be short?

I'm actually singing for her wedding, but she still wants me in a similar style to the bridesmaids. Both the bride and groom are HUGE runners so everyone involved in the wedding are all wearing matching running shoes, courtesy of them. I think we're even having some group shot of us all running up the street in our shoes. All together it'll be cute with all the running stuff they have planned. At least my feet won't be killing me at the end of the night! And yes, these suggestions have given me something to think about as I go out to find a dress.
I like the idea of focusing on finding a dress that I like and feel good in, regardless of what's going on around my feet. I think I'll have to either go above the knee or full-length...just depends on what works best. Thanks, Y'all!
Okay, I did some quick shopping for you. I think any of these would be appropriate and not just awful with running shoes.
