We close on our new house tomorrow morning. I get to start painting tomorrow afternoon. The movers come next Tuesday and are bringing all the stuff that's been in storage for 2 months.
I am so happy to get out of this apt (we have a love/hate relationship with this place) and rediscover some items I've missed (like my toddler cookbook and my stand mixer). The cat won't know what to do with all the extra room.
I think I might even squee

Re: Positively giddy
Yipeeeeeee!
What are you going to do with DD while you go on your painting spree? And you must post B&A pics as you get the house set up.
Yes, we have the apt until the end of the month so we can space out some of the things we need to do. Plus we're having the same movers come take all the big stuff out of the apt for us.
As for DD, DH is taking off tomorrow and Friday. We'll likely do a combination of switching off (one of us watches her in the morning and one in the afternoon) and taking advantage of her nap schedule (she's usually down for a couple of hours) to get things done through Sunday. I figure I can get her 2 rooms painted by then, and if I can manage the kitchen too, so much the better. I don't have colors nailed down for the rest of the house yet, and I'm anticipating a bump or 2 in the hallways with the movers, so the rest can wait.
Walk-through is 9am tomorrow. Yay!
