Wedding ring ?

Did you ladies get your engagement ring and band soldered together before or after your wedding? We're getting married next month and I'm trying to figure out what I should do.. If you did it before, was it weird not wearing your ring the weeks up to your wedding? Thanks!

I did before. I bought a cheap band from Claire's and wore it until the day of the wedding, so I didn't feel "naked." It even looked like my band. It was kinda funny...co-workers thought it was real and complimented it, and some patients's parents would say, "but you're not married yet, why are you wearing your band?"

It cost like 6 or 7 bucks, but you can get em anywhere.

We got it done before because we engraved each other rings. DH gave me a ring when we were dating but not engaged yet. I just wore it because it felt weird not having something on!

Mine are still separate rings. I sometimes just wear my wedding ring alone. I like the flexibility. I know, that doesn't help you. Sorry!

I got mine done before. I took it in the Saturday before our wedding because my jeweler is closed on Mondays. It was kind of weird but I was so busy that week I didn't really notice. And I wanted it nice and sparkly for the wedding. I don't understand when people don't solder it. I guess I always have mine on and would never want to wear just the band.

We sent mine in before. It wasn't done until the day before the wedding too... way too close of a call for my comfort. The nakedness didn't really bother me... it just made it that much more exciting for me to see it when it was being put on my finger at the alter

i have my wedding band soldered but i have another matching band i got later which i did not solder. i wear just the band sometimes when we are traveling.

I was going to do it after, but I haven't made time to do so. I am actually glad, because I found that I prefer just wearing my wedding band.

Umm, I can't remember! Eek! I want to say we had it done afterwards.

Good luck next month! October is a great month to get married in. We'll be celebrating our 7th anniversary on the 9th.

Another vote for before. My band is a custom, so I wouldn't wear it without my engagement ring anyway

Thanks all! My band is a custom contour band so sadly it couldnt be worn alone. Guess I'll plan to do this before. Thanks again!
