homemade caramel recipe for caramel apples?
I have been craving caramel apples, but haaven't seen any of those individually wrapped caramels that i usually use to make caramel apples. Does anyone have a recipe for it that doesn't involve those candies?

I went to the dollar store the other day - whichever was is "everything is $1" (I always get them mixed up) and they have them in with the halloween candy. I bought a bag and DH and I ate the whole thing in 2 days!

we do have some Halloween candy on base, but I haven't seen any of the caramels yet, which is why I was looking for a tried and true recipe.
I just want some freaking caramel apples!! If you express mailed me another option, I would totally go the easy route!!
But I did bake a carrot cake today and a 3 tiered wedding cake on Friday and made Tiff's buttercream frosting for them. (yeah, I'm awesome)
