Fence Ideas
We are going to be putting up a fence within the next few weeks. DH and his dad are going to do it themselves. In the back we will have this kind of fence (there are trees and bushes so we want to be able to see them but still have a barrier.
This will go along the back to a shed on the edge of the property (all wooded). Then from the shed to our house, we will have the stockade fence for privacy.
Just curioricity and wanting opinions, what would be your ideas if I did a fun blue or yellow stain or something fun on the back fence wood areas to brighten it during the winter snowy months? Or is that just a stupid idea. We are staining our house this year, so I could use the same color trim too.
Inspiration ideas (would not be as dramatic, just 1 - 2 colors)

It's NMS and not something I would enjoy doing (painting+outside=
), but if you like it ( and its within your HOA) go for it.
We live in an old traditional neighborhood- H and I are probably the youngest owners by 3-4 decades, and I could see our elderly neighbors loosing their sh*t if we did something like that first inspiration pic. Lol.
Agree w/ Sunshine. Plus if you're having the fence with the mesh part so you can see the trees (and presumably so it blends more with your wooded lot) I think staining the wood part a color would make it stand out, and not blend.
