How's September treating you so far?
I LOVE three of my classes. I mean seriously love them. They're amazing. Teaching the drama makes me so happy, I want to explode. The other two (math and my very mixed level ESL/applied English), I'm really struggling with. And I really miss all the coworkers we lost at the end of last year.
How are yours going?
Re: Students/Teachers
I've started an online class to chip away towards my degree. So far, so good.
We've got a close family friend, Amanda, living with us this semester while she does her student teaching. She and Josh both are loving their classes.
Football started Monday night for Josh's team. I'll see DH in November!
Ooh, what are you taking auntb?
ps. I've totally missed seeing you around!

Also, I have missed posting, too! I definitely lurk almost every day, though!!
Things are going well for me so far but it has been crazy. My kids are good so far and I like my homeroom, which is great since I have them three times a day (Lang. Arts, Reading, and Social Studies). It is my first time teaching Social Studies, so I am floundering a little, but so far, so good.
I also took a Teacher Leader position this year, which I think will be great (and $5000 more a year!) but that is also taking up a bunch of time and I'm needing to adapt my schedule and routine. Right now I am getting up at 4:30 to run, getting to school by 6:30, am straight out all day until 2:30 with kids, and then have meetings until 4 or 4:30 every day and am home around 5. Today I got out at 3 and practically happy danced all the way home...but I'll be at school until 8 tomorrow night for Open House, so it balances out. I'm not really complaining--I actually have been really enjoying the year, I am just not used to being at school quite so long every day and am waiting for my body to adjust so I am not asleep on the couch between 7:30-8 every night!

Man I love this new school, but being a working mommy leaves me with little time to post. I do check on my phone, but I hardly get a signal in my office. I have to add another license to keep my job, but I can do it 100% online so that makes me happy.
I have to teach one of my co-teacher how to manage a classroom, she really sucks at it. I'm working on trying not to make her feel dumb though.
Thanks Dora!
