Tickergate, I think. I was more of an observer of said board war and was linked to the board via a C&P.
That is hilarious. I think Tickergate was our absolute best board war. I think that's how we got a few others...epphd, I think joined us then. And janimal too, though I haven't seen her in ages. I wonder what happened to her?

When E08 was first in existence, we'd get random posters popping in and testing their sigs on our board all the time. One girl popped in, and she had just the most insane sig - tickers, and blinkies, and a full medical history. It was seizure inducing.
So we then spent the day joking about all the insane tickers and blinkies, and made a few of our own. I had ones that said "I have a wide stance" and "Don't Tase Me Bro." TTT had "New Microwave Fever." There were tickers counting random stuff, like days since I broke my toe. I wish I could remember the others, they were hilarious.
Anyway, what inevitably followed was every single baby board freaking out and E08 threads were C&P'ed everywhere. Most people didn't even know E08 existed, so the Nest blew up and we were getting every pregnant person on the Nest over on the board yelling at us for our insensitivity and telling us that they felt sorry for our children and husbands.
After a couple days, it calmed down, and we got some good recruits out of it.
Thanks for the recap, ESF. It really took me back. Good times. Good times.
I wish we could find old threads like those in searches.
