Share Your Baby Name List
Yes, more baby name talk. I'm a bit obsessed. Does anybody else have a list of fave baby names? If so, would you mind sharing? I'm always looking for inspiration and I just love hearing baby names. But, be careful, I might steal. ;-)

Re: Share Your Baby Name List
Our crazy, wonderful life
Nora is a fabulous name! Do you have a list of other names that you like? I keep mine on the bump's site. HA! I'm a dork.
ETA: Nora and Nolan sounds soooo cute together. I'm trying to think of a third name for the sibset. Fun challenge for me, even if you don't like it.

From your list: I love the name Camille too but it doesn't really go with our last name. Milo has always been a favorite of mine, but DH's old boss is nn'd Milo so he veto-ed that real quick. I love that your names aren't names you hear all the time.
Our girl name for if Nolan was a girl was Adelyn. I still like it, but I don't love it.
The only boy name we've even semi-agreed on is Beckett but truthfully, I don't love that either.
This is the hardest part of pregnancy for me! I am SUPER picky. My criteria: No C or K names (they usually don't sound good with our last name), no "easy" nick names (like Christopher-Chris), unique (as in they likely won't have 2 others in their Kindergarten class, not u-neek) and then of course that I don't have any bad associations with them from teaching. haha. You can see why we don't even discuss names until after the anatomy scan!!

LOL! I have the exact opposite problem. I LOVE a lot of baby names and I just keep coming across more that I love. Luckily, Jake has very similar taste, but has vetoed a few that are on the list I posted .
When is the big U/S?!

Our crazy, wonderful life
Boy Names: Girl Names:
Tyson Kendall
Cooper Skylar
Sean Jamison (not after the alcohol lol)
Cody Cheyanne
Micah Ella
These are just to name a few off the top of my head. I have always loved picking out baby names, but unfortunately DH and I don't share the same taste in names. I never have an ongoing theme or rhyme or reason for what I pick, I just love certain names. I am having lots of fun helping my sister look through baby names for her baby since we are done having babies. I am excited they are considering some of the suggestions I made too :-)
Boys: (No specific middle names in mind)
Arlo (My absolute favorite)
Jasper (Second favorite)
Jeremiah (DH's favorite; Miah would be the NN)
Theodore (Theo would be the NN, and it's a family name)
Brooks
Girls: (Middle name would be Laine, after my dad)
Taylor (Our favorite; sounds good w/Sawyer; similar to Tyler)
Isla
Gloria (Family name)
Adele (But not into the singer-correllation)
Harper (Was going to be Sawyer's name if he was a girl)

BFP 3/29/2010 ~ EDD 11/25/2010
Sawyer Marshall ~ November 16, 2010
I have a list on babynames.com, but I haven't updated in a while....here are some from that:
Girls
Adelynn
Annika (nn Annie)
Harper
Hadley
Piper
Brooklynn
Boys
Kingston
Landon
Jack
Oliver
Like I said, it has been a while since that list has been updated. I know there are more names that I have had in my head recently, but I can't think of them right now.
I tried to talk DH into Adelle instead of Adelyn and he wasn't having it because of the singer correlation. Men!
Our crazy, wonderful life
Boy Names- Dominik, Spencer, Jasper, Julian, Oliver, Gavin
Girl Names- Genevieve (Vivi) , Guinivere (Vera) , Rhiannon, Olivia
DH absolutely refuses to consider Jasper because it reminds him of 101 Dalmatians, haha.
Arlo is one of my absolute faves too, except that I already named by bird that name. So now I have that correlation. I'm ok with it, but Jake just can't seem to get over the fact that our child and our bird would have the same name.
LOVE Theo. I have a good friend who has a Theo.
And, Glorai, is gorgeous and should be on my list because we've discussed it and both love it!

Girls:
Cordelia, Eleanora, Amelia
Boys:
Wyatt, Nathaniel, Sean
This is my list, H had a completely different one with names like Cheyenne, Brittany, Savannah, Zachary (his only boy name ever offered).
Girls: Iris, Isla, Genevieve, Isadora, Hazel, Stella, Lucia, Mila
Boys: Alexander, Max, Joaquin, Evan
I love your name taste! I love love love Isadora.
I think I want more kids just so I can name them.... I love baby names! Even though I'm done having kids here are other names I loved:
Boys - Zachary, Owen, Nathan, and Ethan
Girls - Madeline, Juliette, Claire, Olivia, Nora, Elizabeth, and Violet (really wanted to name one of my girls this after my grandmother, but it was a no-go for DH).
Cut the Crap - Weight loss journey of a Few Fat Chicks
Alright, ladies. I added another one to my list and I'm lovin' it! But, I need your honest opinions. Aldo (after Aldo Leopold). Fun fact: Aldo Leopold's daughter's name is Nina. :-)
I know that the name will probably not be your style, considering I do have unconventional taste in name, but do you think it's a weird name? His full name would be Aldo John My Last Name- Jake's Last Name
And, I think Aldo and Neena makes a cute sibset

I think it is cute. I like it because it isn't an overused name.
I think it's cute!
I would call him Lieutenant Aldo Raine
Ignore me if you've never seen Inglourious Basterds.
This is our name list we are going to the hospital with. In no particular order.
Boys:
Connor
Cooper
Colin
Girls:
Claire
Caitlin
Cassidy
Caroline
I am struggling so much with this!
We've only ever had one boy name on our list, which is Jacoby Ryan. On occasion, I'll think of a boy name that I sort of like, but not seriously. If we have more than one boy, then I'll be back to the drawing board.
Right now, my short list for girls is:
Elodie
Tessa
Anna
Caroline
Delaney
Jenna
Nadia
But I'm not 100% on any of them. DH likes Anna, Tessa and Elodie.
LOL! Jake said the same thing as you.:-) I've never seen the movie but Jake loves it.

I like Aldo. To me, it's different without being weird
My list, not DH's:
Boys: #1 Evan. Matthew, Collin, Hunter,
Girls: #1 Lauren. Claire, Jillian (Jill), Erin, Melanie
Current girl names are:
Emma Katherine
Emily Katherine
Emeline Kate (pronounced Emma-line as opposed to Emma-lynn)
Emeline Rose
Charlotte Rose
Katherine Geneva
Katherine Rose
Of those, Katherine, Rose, and Geneva are family names.
Boy names:
Walter Evan / Evan Walter
Walter Henry / Henry Walter
Walter Harrison / Harrison Walter
Walter Jack/ Jack Walter
DH is the 8th in his line with first name Walter, all different middle names. We may or may not continue the tradition. If we do, our son would be called by his middle name. If we don't, Walter will be the middle name.
I don't really have a list, but names that I am liking at the moment -
Boys: Jack, Chase
Girls: Jacquelyn (of course, only if we don't have a Jack), Jill (ditto), Evelyn
People would think I was absolutely crazy if I had a Jack and Jill sibset, right? Because there is a teensy part of me that thinks it's cute.
Girls: Camille (frontrunner at the moment), Amelia, Annalise, Vera, Genevieve, Vivienne
Boys: Henry James
Judah, Austin, Micah, Gabriel (Gabe), Nathaniel (Nathan), McKinley (Mac), Cohen, Isaac, Carson, Caleb, Ethan
Chloe, Abigail (Abbey), Stella, Sydney, Brynn, Kinsley, Noelle (Ellie)
We only have a couple names for each that we both agree on. Of course Claire was our favorite.
Boys -
Brady, Baron
Girls -
Alison (Ali), Aubrey
I have names that I like that DH will never agree on.
Boys -
Miles, Cameron (Cam), Dylan, Alexander
Girls -
Ivy, Gwyneth, Juliet, Ariana, Alexandra (Ali)
