Shot in the dark here, but figured I'd ask anyway. I've been using the iBooks app and really like it. I also recently downloaded the Nook app because I'm a Barnes and Noble member and figured I might as well get it. The problem is that now whenever I purchase an ebook from B&N, they stick it in the Nook app, and I don't really like the Nook app (would rather read it in iBooks). No idea if I can move ebooks around, or if I can delete the Nook app without losing my prior purchases. Anyone have any ideas?
Re: Question for iPad users
I'm sure there is a way but its not easy. The nookbooks from BN are protected with DRM so you'd have to find a way to strip the DRM. People do it, I just don't know how and to be honest it sounds complicated.
If you delete the nook app, you won't lose your purchases per se- they will still be tied to the BN account, but you wouldn't be able to access them. So maybe once you've read everything you can delete the app and go back to ibooks.
That's one of the most frustrating things about ebooks is the inability to "legally" transfer them between formats/apps/readers.
