I never thought of myself as an American prude..but!
So I booked a spa day for myself tomorrow since DH is traveling. I'm not really prude, after having many surgeries (down there), a baby, going topless on vacation, changing in the gym locker room, etc. I'm pretty open.
Til' I got this in my email confirmation.
Entrance is for both men and women. Wearing a robe is required and wearing bathing clothes not permitted
Yikes

Re: I never thought of myself as an American prude..but!
The thought of being surrounded by wangs while I'm trying to relax is making me giggle uncontrollably.
yeah.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
for my birthday, the husband asked zwiggy to help him find a spa. It took quite a bit of research until she found one that wasn't like that.
there is one in the Amsterdam Bos that has bathing suit days once a week. Email her and ask her I think she'll remember the name.
Dutch spas are full on nekkid. You wear the robe when going from place to place but when in the different areas, you get naked.

oooooooooooh word choice...
HAHAHA! If you go into the naked room with that attitude, you may be asked to leave!

I'm totally a Canadian prude. I can't do open change-rooms, have never gone topless anywhere, and I even have a hard time using public bathrooms. It took me years to muster up enough courage to go for my first massage.
I wouldn't be going!
yeah ive been going topless since i was 16 , always strip off butt naked at the gym and have no qualms about naked spas etc.
I think when i lived in Prague and ended up sitting next to my flatmates 82 year old great uncle and her 80 year old great aunt in a sauna butt naked i realized i was not a prude in anyway :P
Yep, same type of system here though quite a few places will also have specific women or men only days which definitely helps. They also tend to offer a mixed bathing suit day, which is my preference to be honest.
I just can't quite relax in a jacuzzi seeing strange men's balls jiggling about in the bubbles.
American prude here. I was even raised in a family that was extremely open minded about nudity by US standards, but I just can't do it. I would be searching for a swim suit day!

It depends on the spa. Some have separate areas, but I've been to a few that don't. That being said, the percentage of guys in a spa in the US is far lower than that of guys who would go to a spa in Europe.
