Paper Invitation versus Evite
Which would you prefer to receive in the mail? Which are you more likely to send out, if you were hosting a party?
Another old nestie with a new name.
Re: Paper Invitation versus Evite
It really depends on the party & the crowd.
Wedding, formal anniversary party, child's birthday party - paper invite.
Backyard BBQ, a random gtg at a restaurant or other informal event - evite.
Ditto PP's that it depends on the party.
A wedding, a shower, a kids bday party- mail
A cookout, housewarming party, bday party for DH or something- evite
I sent out DDs birthday party invitation via Evite. With as many people as we invited (lots of family and friends), it would have cost at least $40 to mail out invitations. That's just the stamps, and not even counting how much the invitations themselves would have cost. I'd rather put that money into the decorations, food and entertainment.
I think a more formal event would call for a mailed invitation.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

I agree with you on this, especially since you can just ask the teacher to put the invitations in the kids' bookbags.
