These grew on me

Got this from JuliD and thought I should share again.  I didn't LOVE them initially but they grew on me.  You should try.  Usually I either love or hate it and it stays that way but I did slowly get addicted to them like the title said!

Re: These grew on me

  • Hm, those sound good.  How do you think they would be with out the cheese though?  Still good or does the cheese "make" them?

  • Ever since Juli shared that recipe, we've had those at least once a month. Our whole family loves them.  I don't remember if the recipe calls for them, but I also toss in some sliced carrots.  Mira, I don't think the cheese "makes" the meal.

They freeze really well too, so I sometimes make a double batch, and stick 1/2 in the freezer for another day.

  • Ohhhh. Yum. I've added this to my recipe box - thanks for posting.

I don't think they "make" them but I needed it because it was kind of bland to me without the extra flavor from the cheese.  I put light sour cream on mine to punch up the flavor.

Love the idea on the carrots and the freezing.  The one batch makes a ton to begin with!

  • Yahoo - glad people like these!

Mira - I *think* I've made them without the cheese before.  For a Vegan option you could try soy cheese - although I would have a little bit first, as I know some people whose stomachs haven't agreed with that.
