Evart Michigan Nesties...Looking for info
Hi Ladies-
I am looking for some information for my family. My uncle was killed in a plane crash back in 1983. The plane accident invloved my uncle and one other pilot. I have additional information on the accident if its needed. My family was told many years ago when this happen that a stone monument/ memorial was done for them. We would all like to take a trip to see it if it does exist. Can anyone conform this monument's existence for me. I would really appreciate it. We are in Northeast Ohio so this will be a 7 hour trip for us.
Thank you!
Nicole

Did you call here yet?
Thank you for the info. I found that web site right after I posted this post. I called but they are already closed for business for the day. So I email two people from the web site. Thank you for your help. I am hoping someone can give me an answer tomorrow.
I am just anxious as we just found my uncle's two children also. Their mother moved them to Italy right after my uncle's death and we did not have any information on where they were. The power of Facebook helped us track them down after all these years.
Thanks again!
That is very cool! I hope you're able to find the help you're looking for.
Wow, that's great. Good luck with your search, and with getting back in touch with family members!
I live in Evart. I was born and raised here. I moved to a town about 30 miles away after my first marriage. I moved back here in 1996. I can direct you to the Evart website. You can find info there of officials who can answer your question. If not, I can go downtown and look by the site for a marker of sorts. The website is
www.evart.org
Hope this helps a little. Or you can email me at gran2_seven@yahoo.com and put airplane crash in the subject line.
Sincerely,
Karla Pollington
I have copies of the newspaper articles. I live here too.Was your uncle Steven Copeland or Robert Brunner?
There is a Memorial plaque at the library. Next month the city is opening a new terminal facility at the airport. I'm working to get the plaque for display at the airport.
Eyewitnesses cite the brave actions of the pilots to avoid collision with cars, homes or businesses. The one newspaper headline reads: "Pilot's actions saved lives, officials believe"
Would love to hear from you and happy to share info
