Donating old Magazines

My aunt is finally cleaning out her house and she has tons of old National Geographic Magazines and some other old magazines. I'm trying to find if any charities in the Baltimore area will take these magazines. They are in good condition. She would rather donate them then just recycle them.

It doesn't look like Anne Arundel County library or Harford County will take them.

Any suggestions?

  • Ha! my co-worker had a few of these in her car today when she drove us over to a meeting. She said she gave some away to goodwill or value village. I suggested a library too.

  • check with local schools.  i know we have to cut pics from magazines for Kira's homework each week.  the magazine selection in our house is not conducive to kindergarten homework.
  • A school would be my first recommendation too or even a daycare.  My nephew goes to Goddard and at 3, they are making collages to help teach colors, letters, shapes, patterns, etc.

  • I just Freecycled a bunch of old magazines.  I had several people respond saying they'd take some and take others to their office/school/other organization.
