Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Marriage Retreat
Does anyone have any experience with military sponsored marriage retreats?
There are two coming up next year one Laughter-based and one Faith-based. Are there any reccomendations?
PS I am not a regular poster but I do lurk and I was around more when DH was in training. I'm Kat and DH is Air NG.
Re: Marriage Retreat
We went to our first one about a month ago. We had a great time. It was led by the chaplain so there were moments he talked about faith, but the video and discussion based off of it was more humor than faith based.
My only complaint was that basically everyone I met and connected with is apparently PCSing in the next few months. There's another one in a week or two, but a lot of people just came home from deployment so the chaplain asked to let them have first priority.
A friend of mine at the old unit has gone on multiple retreats and has nothing but good things to say.
I'd love to hear about it when you get back.
I'll update when we get back Sat night. But I'm pretty sure I'll have nothing bad to say about 2 free nights in a 4 star resort, all meals included, and free childcare.
