Length of time at your current employer
How long have you worked for your current employer?
At what point, do you start getting the itch for something new/different?
Another old nestie with a new name.
Re: Length of time at your current employer
2.5 years.
Right now. lol.
4 years.
Had the itch. Years ago. Should have seriously taken care of it back then.
4 years but I've had 3 jobs within
I get the itch, but I'm really happy where I am at the moment. All my moves have been strategic up the chain.
Almost 4 years.
Have a tickle and exploring options that seek me out, but not pursuing anything. I have it pretty good where I am currently, but I don't see room for advancement here.
This is my tenth year in my job. The only reason I think about leaving is to have a shorter commute, this job is a pretty good fit for me.
I freelance with my employer where I worked FT. I worked at one site for 2.5 years, was switched to another site for 6 months, then got a promotion but stayed at that site for 2 years. I've freelanced with them for about a year.
The only itch I got was to gun for the promotion. I could have stayed there quite happily for a while. I really liked my job.

A year. It's my first "real" job out of college. I'd like to find a job using my degree, but right now I'm content.
4 days...lol. I really, really love it so far.
I was at my previous job for 1 month (
), but it was only PT, so when this FT opportunity popped up I couldn't turn it down.
2 years.
Itch began seriously about 9 months ago.
I've been here since August 2008.
I started job searching about a year in--once my job changed from what I was hired to do (wanted to do) to a lot of other stuff. I've been job searching ever since.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
It will be 6 years in October. I don't really have the itch to do something different but I am looking for a new job since my company's been acquired and my department will be losing our jobs in the next few months.
I prefer to leave on my terms so am looking now. Besides, the environment gets super depressing during times like this and it gets unhealthy after a while.
2 weeks
Hopefully not for a few years. At my last job it I got the itch after 3 months ( wasn't a good fit). I ended up staying for 7 more months but I was on FMLA/Medical leave for 2 of those.
Prior to that about 18 months.
6 years and now!
i'm in the leadership program and hopefully that will broaden my horizons.
