I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.

He was a SS, I think.
Because that's the award citation, written in 2009, and he was a Cpl. He made Sgt in the IRR, I think. Like all the cool kids.
So, when my Mom got me fancy schmancy tickets to the Inauguration, H and I were wandering around DC the night before. There were famous people, and I was like, cool. Then, about 30 older dudes walked by me. I saw blue things around their neck. I was like, "Um. Um. Ummmmm. THANK-YOU!"
Coolest thing ever.
