I know it's been asked before but what BC do you use?

Also, please add if you have any side effects.

Re: I know it's been asked before but what BC do you use?

  • I use the Mini Pill- Jolivette , but get worried because I work late sometimes and don't get to BF as much as I used to.  LO is supplemented w soy formula but OB told me BF is what makes the mini-pill effective.  I don't want to switch to an estrogen pill as I plan on BF for lil' K's first year. No side effects except I got my period twice (two weeks apart) and then haven't seen it again since (in almost 3 months).  But that could be the BF.  I stock up on pregnancy tests from the $ store just to be sure the pill is working.  I know "Aunt Flow" can be a pain, but I'd rather see her , then NOT see her!

  • I use to be on the pill (the generic name was microgestin). It had the lowest dose of hormones. It worked well for the first couple of years that I was on it but then it started to have weird side effects after like 6 years of being on it so I stopped it a year before we decided to start TTC. Now I will be trying the mirena (IUD), ill let you know how it works out :)
