is this a universal sewing machine foot?

Can this foot go on any machine? It isn't the name of any machines I know so I thought it might be universal but didn't know if there was such a thing.

TIA

Re: is this a universal sewing machine foot?

  • Since it is a low shank foot it can be used "universally" on low shank machines.  The shank is simply how feet are attached and there are several different ways to attach feet depending on the individual machine.  If you post your machine I would be happy to look and help you find a compatible foot for it - who knows, it might even be low shank!
  • Thank you. I have the brother cs6000i machine. I appreciate your help.

That's a low shank so the one you linked will work.

However, you can usually get presser feet on ebay for much, much less.

It didn't come with a button attachment foot? It should be the same one my machine has- it works great!

  • I just got that machine yesterday (great deal, I'm excited to have something smaller for everyday). It does come with a button foot. I just looked in the manual and it is the one with an M on it.

  • Good to know. I thought it had one but then when talking with a friend thought I had made the idea up. I will have to check again lol.
