loved the FNL reference when they were riding in the truck
excited for the new business venture with Adam and Crosby

Re: Parenthood 9/13
I totally agree with every statement you made pugz!
Super excited! I forgot how much I loved watching this fam. I seriously have cried every episode.
I feel so bad for Alex. I usually find parenthood to be really realistic which is one of the reasons i love the show, but I found the Alex situation a little hard to believe. The cops are not usually called over a single punch at a high school party. The kid who got punched was the one throwing the party. I feel like he would be too worried about getting in trouble for throwing a party with underage drinking to call the police.
That Sandy chick was a little crazy!
Can't wait for the next episode!!
Yes, Haddie's hair especially was awful!
And I agree w/ pp about the underage drinking party. There's no way that kid would've called the cops over a punch when he had 50 underage kids there.
I'm excited about the show overall though.
So excited for this season! Haddie's hair is awful. It wasn't as bad when she straightened her bangs out but when they're curly...omg.
The whole situation with Alex really ticked me off. You could tell something bad was going to happen when he went into the party to pick Haddie up and I just felt so bad for him since he tries to make good decisions and stay out of trouble. And, like PP mentioned, the whole going to jail for punching someone one time seemed a little much. I'm hoping this doesn't make Alex and Haddie break-up because he's one of my fav characters.
It was a great episode. I also loved the FNL reference. And drunk Adam (you had a 3rd beer didn't you?) was pretty darn cute.
I also wonder where this Alex storyline will go. I'm wondering if the parents knew about the party, and that just wasn't made clear. Who knows, but someone besides Alex should have gotten in trouble for all the alcohol.
my read shelf:
if you punched someone and they called the police, would you stay at the party and wait for the cops? and all the underage drinking kids, would they stay at the party?
when we drank underage - sirens meant "run!"
I also hate Amber's hair
favourite line of the night - the latte girl "I am having a human"
I agree with the new hair-do comments-not impressed!
I'm guessing Alex was arrested because he's over 18 (I assume) and since the kid is in high school, he may not yet be?
I didn't mind Amber's hair (I think it fits with her personality), but I HATED Hattie's hair.
Loved the Friday Night Lights episode. Can't believe that show is over
I am so over the Alex and Hattie storyline. I hope it goes away soon.
I loved it! I am so glad this show is back. I agree with the OP. Loved the FNL reference and miss that show so much...
The Alex stuff of course bugged me as well. The cops just totally ignored all of the underage drunk kids? Say whaaat?
The girls' hair was crappy but it didn't excite me last year either. Good thing they act well!
I was surprised to see that Christina is so far in her pregnancy. I would have liked to see the progress and how they dealt with the earlier stages. Oh well. Looks like baby will be here pretty soon!
Jasmine
All I ask of this show is that they do not bring her back into the picture other than parenting with Crosby. Can.Not.Stand.Her.
I loved that they managed to have a family dance scene in the first episode back. I big puffy heart the Bravermans.
Baking Blog
This.
The best quote was the latte girl telling Julia, "I'm having a human."
I think Julia and Joel issues conceiving will play out over the season, and it is going to be difficult for them, esp. with Adam and Christina having a (surprise)baby.
Can't stand Jasmine. She won't go away though-she is Jabar's mom.
