I picked up lunch at Daily Eats. A small shredder bowl and a small side of mac n cheese. Except when I started eating my shredder bowl, I noticed something. A dead fly (sans wings and some legs) at the bottom. Blech. I can't eat it now. So effing disappointing. I mean, at least I have the mac n cheese, but I know I'm going to be hungry as hell in 2 hours.
Crap.
Re: So bummed
Boo!! I've eaten past hairs more than once, but flies are no bueno.
Take this as a lesson learned. Always get a cookie. You can never be too sure
That is terrible! Did you call to complain? I know it's annoying to make the call, but I always do because oftentimes they'll send you a gift card, or take your name so you can come in for a free meal. (If you still want to eat there again)
I've had stuff like that happen and it sucks. Strangely, I think I would deal better with a bug than a hair. If I find a hair in my food, I completely lose my appetite but a bug sometimes doesn't bother me too much. That's probably weird!
Yuck! I had a hair in my food recently and it ruined the meal for me too!
Yes, it is 4pm and I am ready to chew my arm off. I had zero protein at lunch so it was a quick crash and burn.
I haven't called... yet. I kind of want to, but I know it's just something that happens in food service. I feel bad I lost $5 on that item, but, believe it or not, not bad enough that I want to be a *** about it.
sorry bout you lunch, yo
