Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Weekend Plans
oh hai Niners! Happy Friday!
Today: workin' and then running a crap ton of errands before my friend comes over tonight and we have to make 5-dozen cupcakes....
Saturday: Samma's Birthday Bonanza!
Sunday: cleaning and recouperating after the party, and hopefully focusing on finishing up my essay for the school app due Oct 1st.
Monday: Our Anniversary. Going into Boston to have a 4-course feast at Finale Desserterie. Nom.
Re: Weekend Plans
3 day weekend FTW!
Today: payday, going home and starting the months worth of laundry I have to do, just hanging out with the folks since they're still in.
Saturday: 10 years anniversary of Jay and I becoming a couple; we're not doing anything but it's hard to believe it's been that long. Going to breakfast with my parents tomorrow morning and the out to dinner to Benihana for a friends 30th birthday at night.
Sunday: finishing laundry and cleaning up around the house for my sister's impending arrival on Wednesday. Watching the Bears game and just relaxing. I feel like baking this weekend as well but don't know what to make yet.
Monday: Jay and I have the whole day off together and my parent's will be back in WI, it should be a delightful day. We're going to do something since it's our anniversary but at this point we have no idea and I'm ok with that.
Happy 1st birthdays to Sam and Phoenix!!!!!!
Today: groceries, laundry, shopping for and attending my friend's son's 2nd birthday party. I'm getting him a copy of 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and I'm more excited about flipping through it than I am about the party... sigh.
Sat/Sun: working
Monday: our anniversary! DH has school all day but we're going out to dinner at a fancy steak place.

Tonight - hanging out with Jon, maybe getting my nails done if I get out of work early enough.
Tomorrow - Worst wedding ever. It's one of my roommates from college's wedding. I'm in the wedding. She has been a heinous, thoughtless b!tch the whole time she's been planning this thing. She has said things to people that are completely appalling, including something to our best friend who lost her baby in May. I'm not looking forward to the wedding at all.
Last night was the rehearsal and as we're lining up, the groomsmen I'm walking with introduces himself to me and says "so how do you know the bride? Are you a sister?" and I respond that no, I'm a college roommate. He turns to the groom and goes "oohh, college roommate...EXPERIMENTATION??" To which I responded, "I'm standing right here jackass."
Why, when you meet someone, would you immediately respond with the most inappropriate thing possible? Honestly. Just a hint of things to come.
Sunday: going to the Patriots game!!!! Yay!!!
Agreed on the Happy Birthdays to two of our niner babes!
Tonight- loungin with the neighbors for some beers and bonfire.
Tomorrow- workout in the am, trip to the farmers market, baby shower in the afternoon, then Oktoberfest in the evening with the fam. We might attend a party with the baby after Oktoberfest, but it depends on her mood.
Sunday- bridal shower for a friend.
Friday - work until 4:30, pizza, beer, and cards with friends.
Saturday - nothing much in the morning, nephew's 9th birthday party in the afternoon. A lazy, rainy evening at home.
Sunday - cleaning.
leaving this afternoon for a long anniversary weekend in Breckenridge!!! I desperately need a weekend away, I'm so excited - we have Oktoberfest tomorrow (some friends are meeting us up there too!), we're going to oogle over multi-million dollar houses in the Parade of Homes on Sunday, hitting up some of our favorite restaurants, lots of sexxy time and R&R. I can't wait!
Heading home on Monday to relax with the pupps on our acutal anniversary. I'm making a new saffron risotto recipe, have one of our favorite bottles of wine.
I'm seriously not going to want to go back to work Tuesday...
Today-cleaning and errands
Sat-maybe a pre-anniversary brunch and some baby prep things like registering at the hospital and installing the car seat. Gahhh! It's all real!:)
