Please keep my MIL in your thoughts

My MIL who is in her mid 60's had another body scan yesterday morning. She has stage 4 cancer. She's had her kidney removed about a year ago, and the cancer is now in her lungs, and lympth nodes.

She was getting radiation and chemo but yesterday she got the devistating news that there is nothing else they can do so they've stopped all treatment. She's now just on pain pills and a cough syrup.

DH isn't talking about it but I know he's really upset and worried as am I. They are not talking about prognosis and life expecitency but I know it can't be good.

My FIL is going to be completely lost if something happens and DH is an only child so his family is small and won't open up to anyone.

I'm so sorry to hear this- praying for her and your families. My family situation is similar in that I'm an only child, and we aren't real open at times. I hope that as trying as this time is, his family will come together and be there for each other.
