(about) One day to go!!! Woo Hoo!!

Are you guys totally out of your mind excited about this weekend???

I'm off tomorrow (thank goodness!!) so that I can get my stuff together and do a little lite housework before deserting H and the babies for a weekend :-)

Team Amtrak:  I will call you when we get off the train in NYC on Saturday, so that we can find each other at Penn Station. I would imagine we're going to wait for Mel, correct?

Forgive me if we've decided this during my busy period, but once we get to NY, are we going to our hotels first, freshen up etc., and then meeting up with everyone at a certain/place and time? Please don't laugh at me girls, I've been trying to keep up, but I'm sure I've missed some stuff over the past couple of weeks :-)

  • I'm so excited and ready to get out of dodge!!

Lisa paged me yesterday and I plan on meeting you ladies at Penn Station.  I should be able to time it just about right.  Here's the post:  http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/57992572.aspx

As far as what happens after we meet up, I have no clue!

  • Yay, me too!!!  Do we have a list of cell phone numbers, or numbers of people that we can call if we are lost/late/etc?  I'm not sure I have anyone's cell.

  • Margaret, on our nestie google page Mel made a tab with all our info. I have programmed everyone's in my cell so we will definitely be able to get in touch somehow. If you need the link I'll email it to you, just let me know!

Stacy/Mel, I don't think we decided yet but I imagine we might want to check in/ drop our bags. Danielle, Liz, Amanda and I are staying close by Penn Station so if you didn't want to go all the way downtown to your hotel first you could always freshen up and drop bags off in our room for the meantime. (speaking for all of us I hope that's ok :-) ) We can certainly think about it and play it by ear. I have no idea how long it takes to get from one area of the city to another so that might play into it.

  • Oh wow, I know I am lucky that I get to see you all on Sunday (seriously if I was not local to NYC I doubt I would be able to pull it off), but I'm totally jealous of you overnighters... I love road trips like that... sounds like SO much fun!  Enjoy!!!  And I'll see you Sunday at noon!

Lisa:  I think this would be great if we could freshen up!  Maybe we could trek to Central Park for a little bit afterwards.  If we take the train it'll take about 20 minutes to get to Central Park from your hotel.
